HELP! Need new battery

Recommended Posts

like the tittle says I need a new battery I'm looking for a good one that's not so crazy $$$ I've read on NAM that the optima red top 34r will work, is this true? or is there a better battery.

I'm pretty sure you mean the 34R. I'll have to check my paperwork tonight to be sure... but yes, I have an Optima Red Top in my R53.

There's only one catch - it's a shorter battery than the factory one, so you'll need to put something underneath it to raise it up higher to reach the battery wires. Something solid, like wood.

i got the optima 34r and it fit without a problem the terminals are a little tall so i might make a guard around the battery to take the weight off the terminals

quick question, had a friend write me about changing to battery in his mini, and he was told the dealer has to reset the computer or it can burn up the altinator? I have not had to replace a battery in brandy's mini yet. Has anyone heard of the before? thanks
