Edge Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 like the tittle says I need a new battery im looking for a good one that's not so crazy $$$ I've read on NAM that the optima red top 35r will work, is this true? or is there a better batteryI'm pretty sure you mean the 34R. I'll have to check my paperwork tonight to be sure... but yes, I have an Optima Red Top in my R53. There's only one catch - it's a shorter battery than the factory one, so you'll need to put something underneath it to raise it up higher to reach the battery wires. Something solid, like wood. I have not had to replace a battery in brandy's mini yet. Has anyone heard of the before? thanks 1975 Mini 1000, 998cc A+ w/ K&N air filter, 10" Mamba wheels
