ash5 Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 Hey there DC MINI community. I'm hoping someone can help. I'm looking for any tips on getting the LATCH hooks into the LACTH system in an R56. It seems like the hooks are just too big? Anybody else have difficulty here? I'm installing a Greco SnugRide. Also, anybody have trouble with damage to the interior of the car after installing a seat. Any tips on protecting it?
scythefwd Posted November 3, 2016 Report Posted November 3, 2016 I cant say specifically for the hooks, as I haven't looked at them, but You might want to try and put a mat or blanket (not folded) or a towel laid across the seat before installing... it catches a LOT of spillage. Does your snugride have the European type push on connectors or the tear shaped loop with one open side on the belt?
Lt. Dan Posted November 4, 2016 Report Posted November 4, 2016 On my R53, it's a very tight fit. Try turning the latch sideways, sliding it in, and then twisting into place. Be advised- It's even harder to get the seat back out!!!
