Brian0758 Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 Okay, I have all these great videos using my GoPro but no software to edit them with. I need some recommendations from you all. :questionmark: :questionmark: :questionmark: The software needs to be for a Windows based PC. Thanks in advance :top: 2012 Jeep Rubicon
carman63 Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 A Mac! Here are some options. I cannot give you any personal experience with any of them because... well, I'm a Mac. http://download.cnet.com/1770-20_4-0.html?query=video+editing+software&platformSelect=Windows&tag=srch%3Ba&searchtype=downloads&filterName=platform%3DWindows&filter=platform%3DWindows

Thanks in advance :top: I use AVS. They've got software for nearly everything, but I use the video converter, the video editor, and the video remaker (for just trimming them down). And FWIW once you get them uploaded to YouTube, I noticed that they will now let you add text and some other things. It's probably not very powerful, but it sounds like you are just getting your feet wet so it might be an option. Good luck - and don't forget to share when you've got them ready!
MMatarella Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 I'm a fan of Adobe Premier Elements. Handles h.264 too if you're shooting Hi Def. About $80. You can also get it in a bundle with Photoshop Elements for about $140-150. Does a good job and will upload direct to Youtube if you are so inclined.

T&CMCSa Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 I also use the AVS software and really like it. I use the video editor. It is fairly simple and easy to use. I use the image converter to reduce the file size of my digital pictures. http://www.avs4you.com/ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Se7er Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 I've seen so many people capturing video with Hero's or other recorders, but never get to see any of the videos? What are most people doing with their videos. Are they keeping them, posting them online, and if so, where? -Justin [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] D.B.'s Facebook Page - facebook.com/DBMiniCooper
BigDog Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 Windows Movie Maker should already be on you r PC. If not, it might be down loadable. Mach V Dan Posted September 8, 2011 Report Posted September 8, 2011 I tried a couple of PC packages, and then...bought a Mac. (I eventually upgraded to a "Hackintosh," but that's another story.) The Mac iMovie software is the easiest and quickest of anything I have used. --Dan Mach V FastMINI.net
