  1. Event Title: DCMM Annual Club Picnic Event Date: 08/05/2018 12:00 PM Event Address: 5386 Summit Drive, Fairfax, Virginia, 22030, United States Update: Location has been determined! Where: Carl and Faith's house at 5386 Summit Drive Fairfax VA 22030. They are located on the Centerville side of the Fairfax County Parkway. Summit is the first street light after the parkway if you are coming from Fairfax on Lee Hwy RT29. When you turn off Lee Hwy on to Summit Drive in about 100 yards the road splits left and right. Go down the Right leg. The house is the third driveway on the left. You will not see the house. The second and third driveways are side by side. If you see new houses close to the street on the left you went too far. Special thanks to Carl and Faith for hosting! Parking: There is space for about 15 to 20 MINIS in the driveway. The overflow can park on the street. It is time for the DCMM Annual Club Picnic! Mark your calendars and get ready to enjoy a day of fun and MINIs with your favorite MINIacs! Before the picnic, be sure to leave time for the fun run to the event! See the Annual Club Picnic Run event for more details! This event is included as part of your annual club membership and includes 1 guest (kids are free) and is available for non-members for $5 cash at the event. The club will provide grilling meats, fixings, and drinks. We ask that you bring a side dish or dessert to share. (Please indicate what you are bringing below so we can make sure we are covered) If you have chairs and folding tables available to bring, please let us know in case they are needed. We will have lunch at Magnolia's at the Mill (West End doesn't do lunch /forehead) Following the Meet and Greet, we will enjoy a relaxed drive through Western Loudoun to have lunch at the Magnolia's at the Mill in Purcellville, VA. After lunch, some tours of local wineries and breweries will be available to join! Notable stops include Dragon Hops Brewing, Otium Cellars, and Bluemont Vineyard. Magnolia's at the Mill Located in the historic town of Purcellville, Magnolias at the Mill is renowned for its cuisine and service. Housed in a magnificently restored 1905 grain mill, Magnolias' simple clapboard siding and exposed beams give the restaurant a cozy ambience while the wheels and pulleys still suspended from the roof speak of its hard-working history. Dragon Hops Brewing A relatively new brewer in the area, they have only been open since early May. Be among the first to try them out! They grow their own hops locally in Loudoun County Otium Cellars Otium Cellars is a boutique winery located just outside of the picturesque town of Purcellville in Northern Virginia. With its roots in old Franconian tradition, Otium produces quality wines from one of the best Western Loudoun County terroirs. Quaint with a German flare, owner Dr. Gerhard Bauer has brought a sense of home to Loudoun County. Winemakers Ben Renshaw and Max Bauer create unique, complex wines with Austrian and German varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Grauburgunder (German Pinot Gris), Blaufränkisch, Dornfelder, and Zweigelt. Other varieties you may find in the tasting room include Chardonnay, Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Bluemont Vineyard You can see all the way to Reston from the tasting room deck.. amazing view, not to be missed! Bluemont Vineyard was established in 2007 when the first grape vines came into full production. We now grow over 7 varietals of grapes including Viognier, Norton and Cab Franc, and are on the leading edge of bringing Petit Manseng and Albarino to Virginia Wine Lovers visiting the growing number of wineries in the area. Event Title: Pre-Dragon Detailing party Event Date: 04/22/2018 12:00 AM Event Address: Starting at 10:00 AM till we're done or around 2:00 Will be cancelled if the weather is cold or raining My house in Springfield, PM me for the actual address We'll be prepping and detailing cars in preparation for the Dragon. Bring your buckets and supplies if you want to join in. I have a random orbital buffer if you want to borrow it (bring your own pads and polish) We have enough room to wash about 5 or 6 MINIs at a time, 4 in the driveway and a few on the street. I'll be treating Tigger's top too, so convertibles come join us to treat your top. I would suggest you bring Ragg Top to treat tops but bring whatever product you like. Beverages: We'll have a variety of non-alcoholic beverages available. If you prefer to partake of adult/intoxicating beverages, please BYOB and plan on having a DD.
