Event Title: March Run to Old Town Winchester Event Date: 03/15/2026 12:00 AM Event Address: Drivin' down the road, I get a feelin' Please join us for a Sunday drive through Virginia’s rolling countryside. Our drive will begin at the Cars & Coffee in Leesburg and we will head south and west through some of the prettiest scenery in Virginia. This run will be limited to 15 MINIs and will be focused on enjoying the countryside in a controlled driving experience. We will pass along two meandering rivers (makes for nice twisties), cruise by many of Virginia’s horse farms, make a quick pit stop in Marshall, pop over the Blue Ridge Mountains, skim the Shenandoah River twice (if you put your hand out it will get wet), and eventually arrive in Old Town Winchester (https://oldtownwinchesterva.com). Our final destination will be at Vibrissa Beer and Kitchen where we will have lunch and discuss our Little Virginia Journey (LVJ). If you haven’t been to Old Town Winchester before, we are only two blocks from the Walking Mall which has unique shops, ice cream, restaurants and three breweries (an extra one is only one a block away). So, if you like quick twisties, beautiful scenery and relaxing old town charm, you won’t want to miss this Little Virginia Journey. Start Point: Leesburg Safeway, 437 S King St, Leesburg, VA 20175 End Point: Vibrissa Beer and Kitchen – 10 N Kent St, Winchester, VA 22601 (vibrissabeer.com) Schedule of events: 10:00: Driver’s meeting 10:15: Run Starts 11:45: Pit Stop (Food Lion, Marshall, VA) 12:00: Leave Marshall, VA 13:30: Arrive Vibrissa Beer and Kitchen Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River RSVP on the event here:

We need run leaders for our Hop, Skip, and a Brew for MAR/APR/MAY and an Open Run Leader for APR. If you have never been a run leader, let us know you want to do one and we can help you set it all up. You can also talk to us during one of our scheduled runs in February (2). There is also a runs repository where you can select a route of your choice at: https://dcmetrominis.org/forum/forum/28-run-route-repository/ Remember, runs don't happen without all our participation. It isn't hard to do, and others will pitch in during the drive. It's a lot of fun having many MINIs in your review mirror. Just drop us a line. You won't be disappointed.

Sounds great. I am sure Corey will be fine. I will just update the listing above using the 14th. Thanks again and good luck on your exam this weekend.
-
I guess you have Corey on this to ask him if it is okay to take the run over. I will put you down for the Mistress Run (Open Event) in the listing above for February. I wasn't sure which day you wanted to do it (14th is Valentines Day, so the 15th?) Also, do you want to create the event on the Events page or do you want me to create it using the 22FEB25 Mistress Run event? Thank you for doing an event. I will put you down for the Run for the Roses (Open Event) in the listing above for 16MAY26. Also, do you want to create the event on the Events page or do you want me to create it using the 13MAY23 Run for the Roses event? Thank you for doing a run and we will see if anyone wants to continue the Great Falls run.

Will do. Thank you Eli!

Widdie started following DCMM 2026 Driving Season Questionnaire
-
As we begin the New Year, we all need to think about what kind of 2026 driving season we want as a club. In this pursuit, DCMM is providing a link to a questionnaire that requests what types of events, etc. you may want for 2026. We will continue our member Hop, Skip, and a Brew runs (hour long sprint to a brewery or winery) as well as our Open Runs (Ice Cream Run, Mistress Run, Little Virginia Town Tours, etc.). But what else do members want from the Club and what do you want to give to others in pursuit of all things MINI (run leader, event planner, etc.)? Please use this link to the questionnaire and let us know your thoughts. It is your club and we want to provide events you want to attend. https://forms.gle/AjRWKQzAexdtcwwz8

Widdie is attending MINIs Go a-fill’-n-distillin’ (Adults 21+ only)
-
I don’t know where we are with HSBs, but I can put one together for the 19th of October leaving from Leesburg. Let me know and I will put it on the calendar.
-
Adding the GPX for the run tomorrow. DCMM Excursion Luray (14SEP25).gpx
-
We are a little less than a week away from this event and the weather is looking great. We are doing this run a month earlier than last year's, so the impact from the Skyline Drive leaf traffic should be very minimal. So, get your MINI prepared and your driving gloves ready for this twisty drive to Luray. We hope to see you this Sunday and if you have any questions, please let us know.
