  1. Application is not hard, but the key is proper preparation. I washed the car then applied CarPro Essence Extreme by a buffer. This perfects the paint and primes the surface for CQuartz. Application of CQuartz is straight forward - wipe on one panel at a time with the supplied applicator and wipe off a minute or two later when the product "flashes" (you'll see it start to change color and show streaks). I have done several cars. Start to finish (with the wash, buff, and coating) was about 5 hours. Other cars I have done have taken 2 days. If you're handy, you can do this. Having it done by a pro costs between $750 and $1200. You can get the whole kit and do it yourself for less than $200. The shine and protection is amazing.
  2. Thanks. Took the day off from work and ceramic coated Coopah with CQuartz UK. Not sure about "fierce", but I'm glad I went a bit on the dark side.
  3. Mod #2: 40% ceramic tint done by Paul at Skyline Tint in Springfield (great shop; highly recommended).
  4. Thanks. Fit is pretty good. Not quite perfect, but very close...and I am very picky. A little pricey at nearly $60 at the dealer though.
  5. Let the modding begin! Installed a Black Jack interior mirror cover. First mod on "Coopah". I'll post a pic tomorrow when the weather is nicer. Next up is a set of Black Jack exterior mirror covers.
  6. I agree. The interior is very comfortable and the convenience features are as good as any Bimmer I have owned (or better). Knowing how I loved BMWs, all my coworkers laughed when I told them I bought a Mini, but when I took them outside and showed them, they were all pretty impressed. I couldn't be happier with the switch to Mini.
  7. Thanks. Yes, got the Union Jack taillights. His name is Coopah (Cooper with a Boston accent). Picked it up from Sterling on Saturday and I can't stop driving it! Yeah, I'll check out all the goings-on and get to know everyone. Thanks. Thanks. Looking forward to it as well.
  8. Hi everyone. Just bought my first Mini - 2019 Copper S, 2-door hardtop. Have been a long-time BMW owner and decided to try something new. Love it! Have been active in the 3 Series and 1 Series forums. Looking forward to learning a lot from this club. Oops. Already messed up and posted in the wrong section. Sorry!
