  5. I only mention them as an option. I used them years ago w. good results but as with all services YMMV.
  6. While I agree that their site stinks, I'm more concerned about their wheel repair vs. web master skills.
  7. http://www.yeolewheelshop.net/ Ye Old Wheel Shop 6363 Washington Blvd Elkridge, MD 21075 Phone: 410-796-8400 I've used these guys in years past.
  8. Megan Racing is a fake "tuner" brand which sells low quality Chinese manufactured knock off parts. It often looks like better known products but does not hold up. They use lesser quality materials, questionable R&D and have little to no concern for long term performance. Even their name is a play on well known Honda tuner Mugen. I wouldn't install their parts on any car that carries my family.
  9. 1. VA reg. front license plate mount (car was from PA) so got the Go Mini Go unit. 2. Kid seats & rear floor mats 3. Window tint to keep them cool 4. Strut tower reinforcement plates 5. Brake pads 6. replaced 3 wheels due to prev. owner lack of parking skills.
  10. I'm installing a set of factory Xenon head lights on my 2006 R53. This weekend I had a chance to take care of some maintance items around the car. Since I had the wheels off for swapping out brake pads and installing strut tower reinforcement plates (steel plate inside the wheel well, M7 aluminum on top) and knocked out the studs in the factory hats and replaced w. longer grade 10.9 hardware to lock it all in place... anyway. Wheels off so I installed the driver side washer bottle & pump for the head lights. Good news was that I got that installed with out having to remove the exterior fender. Question at hand is what is the best way to wire this into the washer controls? Is there a factory sub harness that I can buy? I do have a wire pigtail/connector for the pump so I can extend that to reach what I need. Strut plates in place, bottle installed Washer hoses routed under hood liner
  11. I have a set of 1st gen BMW front & rear pads w. 75% or better life on them for ~$30, frankly they came w. the car but I found them too dusty for my taste. Replaced them this weekend with Akebono EUR939 & EUR1060 EURO Ultra-Premium Ceramic front & rear. After 2 days so far no complaints. I have had the Hawk HPS (high performance street) on my 300zx and 240sx for many years and have no complaints for around town use, autocross or at the Dragon. When at the track the Z gets Hawk HT-10s.
  12. Would like to find a front passenger (or pair) grey/charcoal cloth seats for 1st gen Mini Cooper to match this:
  13. 14. We recently picked up a R53 in BRG. I am installing a set of factory Xenon head lights, wondering if there are any local shops (MachV?) that could do the ecu reflash to stop the light flickering when the engine is running? I'm in Alexandria so Passport Mini is my fall back.
