  1. If anyone is waiting for an address please let me know, but I think I got everyone. Again, here is the address for the staging lot:

5123 Baltimore Ave, Hyattsville, MD 20781 (it looks like it would be the parking lot for Franklin's Brewery, but it is a public lot that is free on Sundays). Look out for Sara's houndstooth/Ice Blue MINI, if you don't see it you are either in wrong lot or didn't go deep enough into it. Make sure you bring an umbrella, it isn't a far walk, but it is far enough to get wet to our house.

Ali, can you bring the DCMM banner so we can hang it from my porch to make the house easier to find?

So are we coming to your house first or going straight to the lot?

  2. Since we're working remotely with Mike on his laptop it's hard to say how long each code will take. Sara (OMG_MINI) lives at the meeting place so she can be moved to any slot.

Why don't people show up around 9:00 and we'll just work everyone in as we go.

I'll be there *before* 9 so we can start on time. [emoji106]

  3. The parade was fun but we didn't make the record. The count was 1319.we can try again

I think 3x will be the charm...if the UK doesn't get proactive and up the ante before the next MOTM.

  4. The company MikeV posted the link to is the one I used for Watson. I used the one that was clear coat and base in one, but that was because I was doing the engine bay. For the exterior I would do it was two separate layers, as you should wet sand each layer. That is how I did brandy's scoop and mirror caps on Ebony.

I would also recommend scuffing the ducts with a find sand paper and using a plastic primer. It sounds like a lot of steps but it is actually very easy, just patients and take your time.

Yup, yup. The website has been great (thanks again MikeV. Next time we cross paths, first round is on me).

  5. This is a simple job for another MINI owner. They got their mirror caps painted Pepper White (done via PMOA), now they want their brake ducts done the same. I'm assuming the dealer adds on their cut for handling the work(?), so I'm suggesting she not go back to the dealer for this.

My question is where should she take them to get them painted? Anyone know who PMOA uses? Thanks.

  6. Anyone else having issues connection to OxSpeed.com? Are they still in business..would be nice if they are, considering they are just 10min away from me :)

My last attempt to communicate with them was in March & April 2013. Several emails with no response.

  7. Just wondering if anyone else from DCMM is planning to go. I am going to try to make it and it might be fun to caravan down if anyone else is interested!

I'm planning on going. Right now I'm going down early Fri morn. I'd have to wait so late on Thur for traffic to clear out I might as well wait until Fri :-))

  8. I have so much crap to pack with the vendor thing. I don't know where I'm going to sit!!!! Been negotiating with Mark for space in Max

I did get someone to bring up my fog machine for me or smoky the fog machine would have had to miss the trip.

Is everyone else good with packing the cars? I know you Countryman people are probably not even stressing about it.

No stress for Clubbie owners either. And I've a Yakima cargo box for my roof rack if I actually need more space :top:

  9. I see who you're talking about...:itsme:

By the way, isn't the biggest holiday in Denver 4/20?

    Just asking...

    :hahaha:If the shoe fits ...

And speaking of wearing shoes, I had to Google "Denver 4/20" to know what you were talking about. That shoe doesn't fit me or my Colorado lifestyle. I get my Rocky Mountain High by hiking above timberline, and perhaps refreshing via a microbrew when I get back down, not by frying my brain. I already have enough holes in my gray matter (it's my teenagers I tell you, they did this too me  ) I've no desire to intentionally debilitate myself. No offense intended to anyone who is a proponent of it's legalization, but I am NOT.

  10. I don't think any of us are early risers.

HA HA. I get grief from my friend because I start my weekends at 7A, and it's that late because that's the earliest she will allow me to set the alarm clock.

Yeah, I like to get up & out to complete my errands *by* 10A so I can play from there.
