Checking to see if anyone has a bed/room available...not sure how things are shaping with the big cabin. Apparently my name wasn't on the waiting list from last year, so I'm hoping to talk with Lacey tomorrow (fingers crossed)
Yes, I do have a bedroom still available.

I share your pain. I could have ordered the spare when I got my car, but the salesman at Sterling convinced me I didn't need it with the run flats. I regretted that decision after it was too late to change the order. Go to this link https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/how-to/313033-spare-tire-install-with-storage-package.html to read about my experience getting and storing my spare. I know it's different than your car, but Chad at Detroit Tuned was very helpful fixing me up and he can probably supply you with the proper spare.
And I was annoyed at having to buy a different tray insert than came with my Clubbie (http://www.detroittuned.com/mini-spare-tire-tray-hold-down/) when I bought my spare. You win [emoji16]

My extended mechanical warranty for my first MINI was thru AAA, so the membership was part of it.

Where do you mount the spare in a roadster?
I also got a spare when I did my first Dragon. Didn't use it then, but have used it several times since (all three times on a front tire, so yeah, it meant rotating a rear tire to the front and putting the donut on the rear. Once at night and in the rain in Rock Creek. Fun...NOT!)
For my first Dragon I also upgraded my AAA to 200 miles towing and almost needed it when I went to the Dragon in 2015. On the way home (I'd left a day early on Sat), pulling into a Starbucks in Asheville I got a CEL and my MINI wouldn't start. After letting it sit and cool and a couple of attempts at restarting I was able to get it to run in limp mode (thanks Celia!) and I limped the 130 miles to Hendrick MINI in Charlotte. Alternative was 120 miles to MINI of Knoxville.
Not a sermon, just a thought.

I was just talking with Xiek, he has a room available (2 beds). I was fortunate enough to have the same luck last year. His cabin in Fontana Village that is walking distance from Vendor Row and were the majority of the events take place.
Reach out to him on Facebook (Jason Xiek) and tell him Ross sent you about the room. Price is extremely cost efficient considering the prices for rooms at the resort! :top:
Hmmmm...his cabin near mine?

[emoji53] I'm probably going to have to pass on MOTM. 1,400 - 1,600 miles from Denver, depending on the route. That's a hard 2-days driving each way - solo - with a high risk of getting a motoring certificate.

I had my fuel pump replaced twice on my '11 Clubby. 2nd time was on my way home from Fontana. Went into limp mode in Asheville. Fortunately that time I'd left on Sat and was able to detour to Hendricks.

Heading southbound on Rock Creek tonight I saw Chris heading northbound with his top down. At was 7:20P, he was north of VA Ave and stuck in the traffic due the accident blocking the road at the P St ramp.
I was moving a wee bit too fast to roll down my window and wave, but here ya go now :wavey:

I have a bedroom available in a Hickory 2-Bedroom Cabin #425 (location marked on attached map). You can walk across the street to Vendor Alley and the Event Hall.
Dates available: Wednesday, May 3 - Sunday, May 7
Cost to you (with tax): $405 (unless a tax or something increases, that happened one year).
As I prepay in full for the cabin, I will require the same from you. Sorry, I can't risk a late cancellation and be left scrambling. I've done it this way since my first Dragon in 2013, so if needed, I have references for my process.
PM me if you're interested. Thanks.

Nope, they all look like my MINI.

I have accumulated a bunch of die cast MINIs. They are all some variant of British Racing Green and White. I think most of them are 1:24 scale, but there's a few others. I don't have pictures because they are in my storage unit. I'm just seeing if anyone would be interested in taking some off my hands.
Pick up would be in Tysons (preferred) or Poolesville.
They're FREE!
If you've got a Clubbie in there, I'll take it.

Done.

Thank you for your orders so far! We are already half-way to our minimum
Does buying a sweatshirt go towards the count for production, or do you need 24 t-shirt and 24 sweatshirt orders?

I also stayed there for MTTS and really liked that my room had a sliding glass door onto the beach.
I opted to prepay. If something happens and I can't go, I imagine it won't be very difficult to find someone to take over the reservation.
MTTS spoiled me, it was only $95 then.
Quite true, it won't be hard to find somebody else to take the room.

Melissa and I booked at the Quality Inn Lakefront in St. Ignace. My rate was 177 per night. 142 if I were to pre pay...that was as of last Sunday.
That's actually where I stayed for MTTS, so I was looking on the Mack side for a change of scenery.

Maybe we should all do what Colin does and camp out in our cars.
I thought about that as I have a wee bit more room with my Clubbie. But unless I'm actually camping in the woods, I need the comforts of home (like easy access to hot & cold running water and a bathroom [emoji16]).

Looked at some hotels this morn. High rates (market value I presume) or none at all. Called one in my preferred chain as it's listed at $999, and they said they won't have the rates loaded until Jan 1 [emoji53]

This is very focused event. What I mean by that is, the parade is really the focus of the weekend. There really isn't a whole of lot of organized fun runs or anything like that. However, many people made their own time of being in St. Ignace/Mackinaw by sightseeing, etc.
Last year the agenda went something like this:
Thursday - drive to Detroit to meet with Michigan MINI for dinner (stay overnight)
Friday - drive to Mackinaw City to register and check into hotel
Saturday - Parade, lunch and other MINI related events.
Sunday - Drive home early in the morning.
Friday night and Saturday night are all ours so we can do whatever.
Sounds like a good itinerary [emoji106] Is that a cannonball run on the return?

Unfortunately I had to bail on MOTM. Best case scenario had me driving the 1,400 miles back and straight to the airport. I have to be in Atlanta on the Tue after to meet/drop my youngest daughter off at college.
However, no need for anyone to sit in front of a computer. There are many ways to record your computer monitor. I personally use Join.me Pro and my last employer used Camtasia. Here are several other methods depending on your OS:
