  1. Thanks Craig. It just felt like the right thing to do and I'd be worried wondering if they got there alright if he had driven. She was in a lot of pain on the drive over so I'm glad she took our advice to get checked out and that it wasn't worse like it could have been. Thanks to Haemish for quickly offering to follow and give me a ride back. Great teamwork!
  2. It was a dark color. I hope it wasn't him.
  3. Just drove by an accident on Little River Turnpike and Wakefield Chapel involving a MINI. Looked like there was at least three people in the car. I hope everyone is ok!
  4. Feel better Ali
  5. I just called the resturant, they're looking forward to having us!

  8. Thanks for the ride... lady... (Creepshow)
  9. I don't know what any of these are but I asked my husband if I need any of these... lol, will let you know.
  10. Avoid 66 as much as you can. If you're off 95/395 it's an easier commute. Have you heard of the concept of slugging? (ride share) Not everyone is a fan but it's a system that works. Check out http://www.slug-lines.com/Slugging/About_slugging.asp
  11. Hi Sara! Welcome to the forums! Look forward to meeting you too!
  12. My SA told me it would tell them the mileage on the car, the fluid levels, when the last oil change was done, that kind of thing.
  13. I absolutely love this feature on Lola. @TheMichael, one of the perks of putting your key in every once in a while, especially before dropping it off for service is it tracks some computer data for the SA to look at.
  14. Idk I've heard of people splitting the camp grounds. Check on Motoring Alliance forums.
  15. There is camping. http://www.minisonthedragon.com/lodging.php#campgrounds
  16. There is
  17. That's fantastic!!!
  18. Ladies and Gentlemen, please update your RSVPs for our brunch/lunch (click here to see that thread) on Sunday. I just gave the current count to Kilroy's. The good news is we still have enough room in the patio/party room in the back (80-90), but they said the overflow can sit inside the main restaurant. I have great news, Kilroy's has agreed to give back 15% of the receipt sales (excluding alcohol) to our beneficiary “Operation Second Chance” as long as we collect the receipts. I’ll bring a box to collect your receipts at the restaurant.

  20. Katie, one of my girlfriends is a Marine Reservist who lives in either Statten Island or Long Island. I think she might be coming down this weekend for the Marine Corps Ball, if she does I know her unit was taking donated goods.
  21. I just spoke to Geno who is willing to lead on Sunday and can meet up with Haemish on Saturday. Marines lead, what can I say? :-P Nick you wrote first so you can do it if you'd still like. @Ali, I can still sweep if you'd like me to.
  22. LAST CALL.... ALL DCMM MILITARY SERVICE MEMBERS & VETERANS I'm going to work on something special to recognize all the service members and veterans for the MTTB since it falls on Veterans Day. If you're interested in being a part of this, all I need to know is what your rank/branch is/was. I'd also like to include photos of our service members in uniform. If you're interested, please send me the photo to my email. catalina.rivera2@gmail.com. Don't have a picture? That's ok, just tell me your rank/branch and you'll be included too. I would like to have all submissions by Thur Nov 8th. Thanks!
  23. If you want to live on the metro line, you should expect rent/mortage to be more expensive. We rent right now and the price went up at least $300 a month just for that convenience. I don't know where you're going to work in Arlington, but if it's Federal Government, one of the perks is that the gov't will give you a stipend towards public transportation if you choose, that can offset some of the cost of the increased housing expense. Just food for thought. Other private sector jobs do offer something similar to this, but I can't speak for them.
  24. Greetings and Welcome to the forums. I live and work in Arlington and love every minute of it. I recommend you check out ArlNow.com for the latest information of what's going on in Arlington since you'll at least work there.
  25. Only Friday is cancelled at the moment.
