  4. Pre-Run is complete!!! Thank you Alex, Sherm, Greg, Haemish and Sherri for all helping out. Please note we are going the opposite direction this year. This is to avoid traffic from the Redskins game. This morning traffic wasn't that bad near FedEx field but it was a little heavy. We will be coming out with a map and will have pictures and some blow up boxes for some critical parts.
  5. Who's bringing go pros? Also is there anyone here that knows how to splice and edit video so that we have something promotional for next year?

  16. I need a favor. If someone can pick me up at my house and after the Happy Hour take me to pick up Tigger. He's over in Fairfax off of Route 50 near the Harley dealer. He had a leak that was finally fixed, I need to pick him up.
  17. So that was major fun!!! My Countryman did great on the track and I'm glad I brought her along. My instructor was awesome and he focused on making sure I understood the lines for a turn. I liked that because if he told me everything then I would have just left confused. The turn lines felt really unnatural and at times it felt like he was trying to drive me right off of the track but noooo the car went right where he said it would. I had 4 sessions, the first one with my instructor. The second one I was supposed to be alone but Phil Wicks jumped in with me. What I really liked is he basically taught just like Chris my assigned instructor. Very solid instruction. Phil kept yelling at me to get off the brakes in the turns and more gas. The third run I was alone, Phil made sure I understood how to point cars past me in the straights. I was good about that and being slow I got very quick at letting people pass. I yelled at myself on the 3rd run which helped The instructor drove River with me as passenger, he got her to 120 on the long straight. She wasn't even straining, he said he really liked how she handled for a stock car. He was trying to get the All 4 to do something but I think my All Seasons weren't grippy enough for it. The 4th run the instructor ran with me. I was well into the 80s on the S turns which was fun!!! I finally broke 90 on the straight. He said it's really hard for people to break 90 because they aren't used to the feel of the speed yet. There was a lot of focus on using the entire width of the track, proper track etiquette, understanding the lines for turns and where to put your car. I had so much fun and would highly recommend this for anyone that wants to get on the track but is nervous about it. It was a long day and I'm at work today feeling like a living zombie. Wish we could have stayed last night but we didn't have the leave. Ian from Motorwerks magazine asked me to write an article about it so I'll let you guys know when that's out
  18. Typically 50, 35, 20% tint. To do the front windows as dark as the back, is illegal in Virginia. We can still do it however I just need you to be aware that it is illegal. And for Virginia either the two side windows are only allowed to be 50% to be state legal. 50% is not very much color or shaving at all. Generally down to 35% is acceptable, does not create any issues. Once you get to 20% and below you are asking for trouble. We can do a very good job of matching existing tint. It may not be a 100% exact match, but I'll be fairly close and most people would never know the difference.
  19. Sent an email to Randy. I would assume the standard VA legal shades are available. Are you looking for something different? Do you want a quote on the CX-9? I just copied and pasted your post to an email to Randy
  20. I have a photo shoot I'm pretty sure Mark is going but he keeps forgetting to RSVP The woman I'm working with tomorrow is coming from NC (MINI people) and her husband is coming with her. I am seeing if he wants to come with Mark to the beer tasting. So you might have 2 more, probably have one more. If they both do come, you'll have no trouble remembering their names as they're both Mark.
  21. Only 5 people have RSVPd to David Hellmuth so please RSVP to him so he has an idea of how many cars will be dressed up
  22. There will be heavy discussion about MTTB so if you want to come and help out with the planning please do so
  23. So you're a maybe? We'll find you there!
