  1. Officially it starts on Wed and ends on Sunday, a lot of us go up earlier. Actually some of us take the whole week. It's about a 10 hour drive down there and then another 10 back, so I like to really stay once I'm there. Fontana is currently booked as many of us book before we leave, but you can usually get in as people find they need to cancel There are alternate places to stay listed on the site. The first year we stayed at the Microtel, which is about a 20ish minute fun drive to get to things. It's not that far, but you do miss out on a lot of the evening fun. If you haven't looked yet here's the site http://www.minisonthedragon.com/lodging.php It is a really fun time. You can get to meet a ton of MINI people, get mods done on your MINI, have a blast driving and enjoy some beautiful scenery.

  3. :hmmmm2:
  4. Hmmmm You want to borrow a Holga?
  5. Oooh this will be a very special Dragon for you Celia, you'll be old enough to drink! (after all the driving fun of course)
  6. I love seeing a well loved MINI. What are you shooting with? We seem to mostly have Nikon shooters, but I am part of the smaller Canon contingency. I don't know why but photography types seem to love their MINIs.
  7. That is a cool pic. You guys will have to go to the Dragon where you'll be surrounded by dozens or even hundreds of MINIs.
  8. I was laughing so hard before I forgot to mention that Penn Camera is a good place for film development. They even know what it is
  9. Now I'm saving up I want Tigger to have a good sound, but not drone. Mean aggressive tips It's all kind of aesthetic for me, sound and look meaner
  10. I shouldn't be laughing this loud at work :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
  11. Now that the weather is cooling down, we really should do a MINI photography shoot day. Maybe we can pick a few scenic locations to go to and shoot.
  12. I also have 2 Holgas do if we do a film shoot I can loan one out.
  13. I'll go shoot film with you Alan, I have an old Ricoh from the 60's, love that thing. Stephanie with the lazer blue MCS is also into shooting film

  15. That girl is so talented!
  16. Uh - Craig is right. Lately I'm leaning towards something custom
  17. Those are pretty, but right now I'm saving up for my exhaust, then seat covers, then paint chip repair/ clear bra.....
  18. I was doing that, but it caused my clutch pedal cover to fall off.
  19. Once you have a date and an idea of when you'll be settled in, we should have a welcome back dinner for you.
  20. You don't have to dress up for Clydes. Wash the MINI of course. I hope you can make it
  21. It's a really nice place
  22. I don't have weather techmatts. So I guess the cocomats can stay. Sometimes in the summer the cocomats have caught on my flip flop when I shift. It's kind of annoying, forced me to buy shorter driving flip flops, oh the horrors of going shoe shopping
  23. I have a Droid and use the Cravenspeed mount http://www.cravenspeed.com/smart-phone-mounts/ Right now I have the Samsung Charge and the universal mount. It works, but there is an issue because the grip points of the mount all hit buttons that I need on the phone. When I shift the phone so that the buttons don't get hit, it is imbalanced and flips. But they are good mounts and easy to install.
  24. Rich Why do you take out the coco mats? I'm curious since I have them. Ali
