What happens at the monthly meet and greet? Do we go eat somewhere or do anything together?
Just wondering

Sadly, there is only one independent shop that I know of in the state of MD, and he doesn't really want to work on MINIs at all. Has even copped a bit of an negative attitude towards them, and can be difficult to work with. Also, his prices tend to be quite high. Don't even mention DC Metro MINIs to him, as he became disenchanted (to be polite) with the club years ago.
Having fore warned any potential customer, his name is John Behe (pronounced beehee), and he owns Behe Performance, in Glenwood MD. Here's the link:http://www.beheperformance.com/

Hi everyone,
I havent actually officially joined DCMM yet, but as you guys have been around a lot longer than some of the other clubs, I thought you might be able to give me a recommendation for a trusted mechanic in the area that might specialize in minis. I knew some in western Va, but thats a little far to go now. I'm getting a reduction pulley for my birthday and have been told that its a very difficult installation for a diy, and its been suggested that I have it done professionally. Any recommendations would be very much appreciated!
Thanks!
Melissa
Around this area Melissa, unfortunately there are no independent shops that I know of and I've been driving my MINI since '02. There was one, but it didn't last long.
Where in Annapolis are you? I live in Severna Park.

Any word on MD/VA trooper participation? Sure would make the drive easier to have a LEO escort cutting through traffic for us.
-
Ok, so I need to know...are folks interested doing this? C'mon kids...it's Hallowe'en! It's a party!
-
that is definitely cool..

Any word on VA/MD state trooper participation? That would certainly add cache to the event as well as adding a possible positive safety factor.
Oh and another thumbs up on Evergreen Graphics, tho' with the date rapidly approaching, it wouldn't give Cra

Hey everyone!
I ordered my MINI a few weeks ago and am very eagerly awaiting its arrival (obsessively checking the Owner's Lounge). Anyways, my MINI salesman at MINI of Annapolis, Mark Mickley, told me about your group (he described it as an "eccentric bunch", which is right up my alley) and that I should check it out. So here I am! I live in Pasadena, MD and this will not only be my very first new car (I just graduated from UMD!) but my very first MINI. I am definitely interested in joining your organization! Let me know if any of you live in the area. I'd love to see your MINI's too!
Happy Motoring, :motor:

Hey Tom, I live in Severna Park, in Round Bay. I have probably the oldest car in the club...an '02 Dk Silver with a gray toned Union Jack roof graphic and 4 big Hella lights on the front. I don't get to Pasadena that often 'cept to go to BJ's for gas and stuff. If You see me...wave, and if I'm not in my usual fog, I'll wave back

I gave them a heads up today and they asked that we park in the street as they have tons of inventory and a heavy service schedule on Sat.

I have a theory... I think that the ISP that hosts our forums may have had a problem with their server. Perhaps the clock was off, and so your browser's login cookies were expiring prematurely.
Just a hunch, anyway. It seems to be w
