I got a wave from a BRG/Black Clubman today on the Ellington Bridge. It had VA Temporary Tags. I was headed towards Adams Morgan and he was headed towards Woodley.

 

It's rare I get a wave from MINIs in DC. :wavey:

Had a fun tag tonight. I was meeting with our running team for the pasta dinner for the Marine corp runners. We were meeting at Buca di Beppo in DC. Traffic was still pretty thick from the rally and I knew I'd never find parking and make the dinner on time. So I decided to valet park it. After I got out the hostess complimented Tigger's color. Then she told me that she had a MINI too. I asked her if she knew about the club, and she was knew to the area.

Of course I had a card in my purse and gave it to her. Hopefully we meet her and her MINI soon

 

I live 5 minutes (walking) from Buca. If you're ever in the neighborhood and need parking, let me know. I might be able to let you use my spot or find one on the street for you.

[Extended warranty]

I just talked with PMoA on Saturday about getting the extended warranty for Cricket and I was shocked at how much they wanted. He told us the "retail" price was $5500 and he could probably come down about $1700, so that's still over $4000!! I haven't bought it yet because that seemed really high. This was for the additional 4year/60,000 mile warranty.

 

Any advice or experience with getting it for less?

I got a wave from a dark silver MINI on Rock Creek Parkway today. I was trying to avoid an SUV that slammed on it's brakes for no apparent reason, so I didn't get the details of the car, but I did manage a return wave. :wavey:
