Hey Everyone - We've decided to cancel the Halloween Party due to low attendance. Maybe next year.... :itsme:

I am heading out the door now to find an inspection station. :motor:
I hate taking my baby out in the rain but no choice.
Hopefully the rain doesn't deter others from going to the Meet and Greet.
See ya there, Brian

Hey how about leading us on the spring fling run. I love that route. I will be there.
I was thinking that too.

I don't want to give anything away, but Craig is already working on a design.
I've asked him to give us a price on t-shirts and if we have enough time to do them. I'll let everyone know as soon as I hear back.

Second, due to insurance, I gotta keep the Classic in a locked garage and unfortunately, my place up here doesn't have one. Anyone recommend someplace? (Somewhere on the north side of DC< preferably. Heh.)
Welcome to DC!
There are a couple of vacant spots in our garage. There are 24 spots and they all belong to condo owners. No daily parking. I can put up a notice in the garage if you are interested. We're between Woodley Park and Adams Morgan. I think the going rate is about $250/month.
One of the empty spaces is next to Cricket. I'd LOVE to have Classic parked there!

I'll meet at Costco, too. I'll be coming up Connecticut, then the Beltway to 270 to 70, if there's anyone coming from that way and wants to meet up along the way.

I saw a Silver/Black MCS (I think it was an S) today at 16th & Harvard. It had DC tag "LETSMTR". I'm pretty sure the driver didn't see me, so no wave.

I did my own boot stripes and the hardest part was lining them up right. I think that took about an hour and the actual application took around 20 minutes.
I also did side stripes for someone else (Pepper19). I will NEVER do that again. Trying to line up one piece of vinyl that was the length of car while lying on the ground was not fun. If one has the use of a lift it would be much easier! Depending on what type of side stripes you have, yours might be easier.

A British Racing Green Cabrio S parked behind me on M St (between 22nd & 23rd) earlier today. It had Maryland plates and a "MINI of Towson" license plate frame.

I have emailed back and forth with the organizer of the car show and he seems on top of things. This is his email, if you'd like to confirm directly with him. davidclose10@hotmail.com

I saw a bunch of MINIs this morning!
In the parking garage at the DCUSA shopping complex in Columbia Heights (I would not recommend anyone ever attempt to drive/park there on a Saturday, it was a complete mess):
- HC/B Clubman - new, it had VA temp tags
- Silver/B Cooper with DC tags
- Blue/White Cooper S with Texas tags
- Cool Blue cabrio (but I know who that was! She lives on my street)
On my way home:
- Dark Silver/Black S with sport stripes and an Actual Size sticker. Texas tags. Parked on Columbia Rd, just west of 14th. (They were lucky, the car on the other side of the street had a giant tree branch on it!)

MINI of Annapolis has invited us to attend their 50th Anniversary Party for MINI. Please see details below.

I'm interested!! How much?

Great tip thanks! I am in no hurry but suspension/handling is the one area I'd like to do the most with. And lowering the car to look like the awesome photos of Mach V Dan would be sweet. THAT is a nice ride.
I'll be there tomorrow and would be happy to talk to you about the JCW suspension. I will say that it is absolutely worth it! Though, I'm sure you could get something similar for a lot less $$$ if you didn't go with JCW.

Just curious if anybody confirmed with PMoA since they aren't really open, yet. I heard they are officially opening on the 18th.
Yes, they know we're coming! :top:
