All, It is a really bittersweet day for me as it was my last day with my MINI. We had a great run and I will miss Wolfgang dearly. That said, I couldn't be happier that Wolfie is being adopted by a really cool couple and staying in the DCMM and Miniac family! Congrats, TATRAT! I really hope you enjoy! I will have peace of mind knowing that he'll be running free again like he was meant to be! Godspeed! (With any luck, I'll be back in the MINI community again someday soon with another MINI ) @Haemish: Sorry, buddy. The cover went with the car @Brian: Haha...just give me a ride in that Jeep one of these days! By the way, I have a photo of us at MINI United that I want to give a copy of to you.
-
Haha Brian, it would be so nice if someone from the DCMM family would adopt her! Um....how about your Jeep?!
-
Sure, that would be great :top: When are you coming back?
-
bump. still looking for a good owner!
-
I still hope to find a good Owner and Miniac to adopt my MINI so it'll be taken good care of. I'd hate for it to goto a dealership or chop shop after taken such good care of it for so long. I've reduced the price significantly to $11,000 to hopefully reignite any interest. You'd be getting a loaded JCW with under 10k miles in mint condition! Please PM for questions and contact information. Thank you! :top:

Well she's still available. I'm feeling generous, today. Make an offer
-
Well if it's only a bit why don't you PM me his limit Who knows what might happen
-
Thanks!

Thanks all for the compliments. Please keep her in mind if you know of anyone :top: @Edge: If no one is interested in having the cover with the car then I have no qualms about selling it separately. It is the bluish grey one with black where the windows and wheels would be.

Thanks! I meant to do a whole lot more with it than my time allowed, unfortunately. But, I think this is a nice opportunity for someone :top:

hi! Oops I meant to post a link to a gallery. It is Astro Black with a silver roof.:top: Let me know if you/they have any questions. http://www.northamericanmotoring.com/g/album/3751053

Unfortunately, for me, I have to let go of my baby. But, it really has been babied with only 9,700 miles and a single owner (some of you may remember me from the old DCMM days). Astro Black with a silver roof. With many tasteful, high-end mods, it is ready for daily driving, serious twisties or even track/auto-x if you so choose. This is the perfect car for an enthusiast who recognizes a superb deal. Hey Laura! LOL....when I saw the Cricket license plate it put a big smile on my face! It was kind of dark already at the time so I was worried that you might not recognize me. Was funny when you had the annoyed look at first when I honked

Do you know if Passport MINI donated any moneys in addition to the $1,640?
-
that's hot....more pics please!

Great run, Everybody! Thanks for having it! Was smooth as buttah :motor: Very nice seeing new and old faces there. Please let us know how much was raised for this event :top:

I would be interested. Lemme know

My friend said that the person used the word "recall". But, if you all haven't gotten an offical letter from MINI, then maybe it isn't.
-
A coworker of mine recently asked me if I had heard about any issues with R56's just dying out right. His R56 died while driving on the highway and could not be revived. Apparently, his service advisor told him that the problem was with the timing chain and that there is currently a recall on them. Luckily for him, they are replacing his entire engine. I did a bit of research on NAM and apparently the timing chain has been a problematic item, mainly due to it making the car sound like a diesel with a cold engine. I do not own an R56, so can't personally comment, but thought it might be useful information to you new gen owners.

Has anyone talked to PMoA to see if they're interested in sponsoring? Or does that make the potential mix of member and non-member a deterrent?

LOL. I guess South Beach and deep sea fishing in the Keys is okaaaaay... i've just missed so many events this year. I'll drown my sorrows with margaritas and think fondly of DCMM :top:

AAAAAGGGGHHH!!! NO! I'm going to be in Miami & Keywest that weekend!

I'm so sorry I couldn't see all you wonderful MINI friends, today. It sucks having to choose between my family and my MINI family. But, weekends are now very precious since my wife and son started living with the grandparents during the week, so he can
