Unlike beer, I don't think cider goes bad simply when going from cold to warm temps. If that's true (the cidery will know), and you can swing a growler of their IPA, that would be fantastic!Bold Rock, yes. Brain cramp.According to their website, India Pressed Apple is still only available in growler refills.

That's probably the difference then. The 3-piece dash in the post-refresh models vs. the 5-piece dash in the pre-refresh models. You can trust me on this one. the 5 peice dash has a panel that's held in place by straps that swings open in an accident. Id never do anything to compromise a passengers safety. On the refresh 3 piece dash i believe it breaks through the dash pad.Considering the 3-piece dash extends the same piece over the vents on the sides, I smell an airbag redesign as part of the overall refresh.
Happy to learn something new.

Maybe they changed it for the refresh then... because I have a distinct visible cutout line in the top of the passenger side of my post-refresh R53. It does not come out of the plastic (or in my case leather) front portion of the dash in mine. I'll try to take a pic tomorrow to show you what I mean... plus a little digging on RealOEM. Not trying to beat a dead horse, I just want to find out the specifics because it's important for safety.Nope pops out of the dash trim piece -
The dash looks great! ...but doesn't the passenger airbag come out of the top of the dash?

I gather you meant Bold Rock?I will be in Nelson County next weekend and can get something from Blue Mountain, Devils Backbone, Wild Wolf, and/or Hard Rock Cider. If anyone has any suggestions or requests let me know.If you can get their IPA ("India Pressed Apple"), that would be awesome! I don't think they sell it in bottles yet, it's only on tap in the cidery tasting room... but it might be possible to get a growler of it.

It's actually an annual membership, but it's tied to the calendar year... so the price is discounted in each quarter since it isn't for a full year. Everyone's full year renewal is due in January, regardless of when you join.My plan is to join but if I remember correctly it's quarterly. -
I'd love to go, but at 10 1/2 years and 122,000 miles and counting on Mr. OEM, I don't think any more track days are advisable, as the heavy dose of associated wear-and-tear is just too much for him now, I think. It's the same reason I stopped doing autocross. It's already gotten very expensive to keep it properly maintained for daily driving, let alone track days.
Oh, if only I could own a dedicated track MINI! :motor:

Attached is the current list of brews that we have so far. I will update this attachment as people submit more to us that they are bringing to the event.
-
They can RSVP with their own forum account. What if your guest is a member? The board can decide to change this, but traditionally we have not opened up "guests" for the annual meeting because it is a members-only event (due to the board vote and the fact the club picks up the cost of the food).
-
This is the new event thread for the 2015 Annual Meeting. If you RSVPed to the other one that was here, you'll have to RSVP again.
Please remember that this is for members only, so guests (i.e. +1) are not opened up in the RSVP system.

I'm very disappointed I won't make it, especially for a special occasion... but I want to point out that the table in front of the bar won't be big enough for the 14+ people expected. It has fixed seats, and I think it can only hold 8 seating, 1 standing at the end.Whoever gets there first please reserve the big table in the bar. By reserve I mean sit there and hold the seatsMaybe it makes more sense for you guys to ask for a larger space in the back?
Anyway - have fun everyone... and best of luck to Corey!

We're coming to Passport and will make a game-time decision on the movie. Bonus - we're bringing Susan's super easy going dog Copper since dogs are allowed at the drive-in if we decide to go.
-
Well, that helps a little bit... getting out at 12 instead of 12:30.

I just got an email back from David Hellmuth:
I have spoken to the owner 5 times his hands are tied the movie makers determine the time shown, just got off the phone with himSo that's that - it's final. Minions first, then Pixels. It probably doesn't help that Minions is rated PG and Pixels is rated PG-13.
-
It's possible that David already pre-arranged to have Pixels show first, but that flyer predates the posting of the movie schedule on the theatre's website (which is listed for the general public), so I suspect that without intervention on David Hellmuth's part, Minions will be first.if you look at this flyer they might have already flipped the order for the night -
I emailed David Hellmuth too - not to bow out at this point but to ask him that since we are bringing them ~70 MINIs of business, if he thinks he might have enough pull to flip the order and show Pixels first.
No harm in asking, right?

Update on the theatre tomorrow night - their website is showing the following for our screen (Screen 1):
8:45pm - Minions
10:45pm - Pixels
...so be prepared for a very late night if you want to see Pixels. Just a heads up!
(Susan and I have already seen Minions, so I wish they were showing Pixels first!)

Oops yeah I wasn't thinking about that. R50 & R53 only. R52 doesn't have a B pillar to put it on!Tigger didn't have it, strangles me all the time, I bought a seat belt pad. I'm going to look at this adjuster.Must be because my first gen is a cabrio
-
So I am enjoying my new Mini enormously. I have one question I'm hoping you can help me with. Are the seat belts adjustable for height? It cuts into the left side of my neck especially if I am wearing something collarless. If I raise the seat it is better, but then my ability to see out the back window, etc. is compromised. My old car offered adjustment. I can't find a way to adjust the seatbelt in the owners manual or via a search. I have emailed the salespeople to ask as well.
Many thanks.
Joyce
The 1st Gen MINIs had the sliding adjuster (mine does), but they removed it in the 2nd Gens, probably as a cost-cutting measure.Hi Joyce,Unfortunately there's no height adjustment for the belt. In some cars as you know, there's a sliding adjuster on the pillar. MINIs don't have that option.
Something like this might help, although I have no experience with it:
-
I ordered two too.
-
She spells it with one L, Will - Hilary not Hillary.*Hillary*, how many more needed? (don't know why I typed "Chris". Multitasking one too many things [emoji12])I'll order one on Tuesday when I am back in town. Maybe that will do the trick. Happy to have a choice other than white or black, but obviously wish there was blue!
-
Don't you need one for each Gen? You don't have an R53 yet...
-
Got it, thanks! :top:Haemish, try adding your +1, now. -
Actually Alex, this is a semi-tradition. I know we had pre-picnic runs in 2010 & 2013... and I think there was an informal one in 2011 as well. This is something new we have not tried prior to a picnic as far as I know.Still, glad you're doing it - that's awesome! :top:

I have updated the brew list in the 1st comment - a few more have been added, including a rare (for the USA) pear cider from Sweden that I brought back with me on my last trip to Australia. You can't buy it here!
Looking forward to the event! It should be fun and delicious! :top:
