Phobix Posted January 14, 2013 Report Posted January 14, 2013 For anyone that has added coilovers to their minis, what OEM pieces did you need to keep for the rear struts? Thanks!
rickyr53 Posted January 14, 2013 Report Posted January 14, 2013 Your need to keep the top hats for the rears.
Scavenger Posted April 5, 2013 Report Posted April 5, 2013 Having just gotten coil covers, just thought I'd expand on this a bit. Top hats are correct, specifically, you need to keep the upper strut mounts (top hat) and the washers and bushings. If you have high mileage, consider replacing the bushings. In front, the top hats are also reused. Again, if you have high mileage, you can consider replacing the upper rubber spring pads. 2006 MCS, SB/S , "B.A." Performance: DINAN "Stage 5" tune, throttle body, boost kit (fuel pump, pulley), & CAI; JCW exhaust sans resonator, brakes, & GP IC; DDM IC diverter; CSF Racing Aluminum Radiator Suspension: DINAN front strut brace; Alta 22mm rear bar; KW V1 coil-overs; H-Sport adjustable rear control arms; CravenSpeed strut underators Interior: CravenSpeed gauge mounts with Cooper S boost and voltage, & shift well cover Wheels: Enkei PF01 17" Audio: Kenwood Excelon KDC-X994 HU; MTX Terminator speakers F&B Alan @ opensource.com

Alan forgot to mention how awesome his MINI feels now that he has done over the suspension. :motor::motor::motor::motor: Tigger 2006 the cabrio and Riversong the 2014 Countryman
