Here comes Tyler stirring the pot :top:

:bootyshake: to both steph and brandy. Dash all back in this morning and with an extra splash of color. Bonus I did not have any leftover screws at the end:rock::elephant:
:congrats::party::thrasher:
It looks way awesome

Was not happy at all to come home after work and see him taking apart my car, didn't even talk to me about it, and he better be able to put it all back together, but the orange looks great!!
:hmpf:
What a lovely surprise

Total feeler thread as I'm cleaning out my garage.
I have a set of OEM springs. They came off Lucy (07 Cooper S hardtop) about a month after I bought her (she came with 18,235 miles). I an take photos if anyone is interested, especially if you're selling your MINI and need a quick set. Lucy has the sport suspension but that won't affect anything other than give a stiffer ride, as far as I've been told.
I'm asking $75 obo if there's even any interest.

Not original owner, he had recently purchased it
It's always tough to inherit someone else's problems. At least he knows we are willing to be friendly!
-
I forgot to mention that it was a 2003 with 29,000 miles
OH WOW, that's realistically probably why it went out. Were they the original owner? That is SUPER low miles and it's an 11 year old car. I'm not surprised to be honest. But I'm very glad you were able to help them!

Saw a Sexy Chili Red, slammed Roadster yesterday on Shirley Gate.
I heard you, then saw you, then wanted to BE you! :applause:
If the license plate is H8 TCKTS, that's Miguel haha. He had a fast Scion tC back in the day (small world) with a license plate of BBYRU18, ask Justin about it! His MINI is REALLY nicely done.

Driving home yesterday and I see a MINI in a parking lot next to the road with the bonnet up. Yeah I'm in a rush, always am but I pulled over to see if I could help. He wasn't a club member but he was in a MINI and of course that makes him part of the MINI family.
He was pretty sure his water pump was going and didn't know a good mechanic. I told him about a few places and gave him the number for PMoA.
Get this- He had a Chili red S with 29,000 miles on it!!!! Car looked like it was in amazing shape, well except for that water pump
I have his card so I can follow up and see how things worked out. Hopefully we can get him to come join us
If he has an R56, I'm not really too surprised. Remember Lucy's timing chain went out at 30k (and I owe it to you and Craig for pointing that out!)

I saw a pretty black Bayswater edition with license plate RAMINI on 28 north shortly before I took my work exit ramp for McLearen. Anyone here?
-
I have one rear, oem control arm for sale. It came off my R56, I know it'll fit R56 and R53. In uncertain if it'll fit R50. It's taking up space and I obviously don't need it. It's one control arm, the other was sold to help a fellow member. $60 obo. I will attach photos tomorrow.
If anyone hits a pothole, I can help haha.

Have you tried realbimmerparts.com
They have really good prices on all things mini. And if your closer to sterling you should try Mini of Sterling. The staff is great.
Yeah the parts guy Dave rocked

Sigh. Have fun. I'm about to walk into work. I'm jealous of everyone. Tell all of our southern friends I say hi.
-
yeah was told it was a faulty throwout bearing, ive been busy so havent had time to address it. really still up in the air with what i want to do
After I listened to the video again (without background noise near me) that was a similar Chewbacca noise my car was doing in first and reverse. But my clutch plate was worn to the rivets caused by oem throw out bearing gone bad. So there is NO REASON why brand new clutch with such incredible of a throw out bearing to be doing this, especially so soon. The longer you wait, the worse it'll get. Please reach out to OS Giken. I think they should fix it as it sounds like manufacturer's defect to me. I have noticed that the clutch behaves differently in the heat/humidity so I was really hoping it was that.

Special moments in DCMM :itsme: :wavey:
We're a rare breed!

Hi Stephatron!!! That was me :-) admittedly I'm not on the forum as much as I'd like to be! But still try and hand out DCMM cards when I can! I'm Jonathan btw & olive was pleased to meet cha'
You should come out to the next event that I go to!! Lucy enjoyed Olive's company! I giggled so hard when you handed me the card. I thought about honking at you before you switched lanes to follow me!!!
-
I motored home down 28 in bumper to bumper tonight!! I wish I was smart enough to ask his name. But I was more concerned with the fact that he handed me a DCMM card and said Lucy was cute!!!!! I laughed, obviously. Blond boy, R56 S (nice burbles and pops, Lucy told me she was jealous!), same color as Hilary's car, black roof, no stripes, has a green newbie member card (we showed our cards off in traffic, dorks, I know), no vanity tag, SCAD in yellow vinyl letters on the back windshield, Sterling license plate frame. Who are you?!
-
Did you ever get this sorted out?? You should take a video and post it. Or message it to me. Break in period, as I was told, was 1,500 miles, stop and go encouraged and no rpms over 4,500. And no rev matching. It was difficult but I'm glad I listened. I got the clutch broken in right before the Dragon so that was a huge relief to me.
-
That is a common problem, Tyler. Mine just gave me trouble about three weeks ago. Conveniently, two months after my water pump piddled in the parking lot.
Ps you can use any coolant as long as it's 50/50 mix. When I was stranded with a leaking water pump, that's what I was told.
-
Melissa!!! I just got so excited.
-
I wonder if you get the same ones you have but custom made? I know Chad customized Sara's design!
-
I know you jest and are just baiting me
I mean seriously, just a car HA!!!! These are MINIs!!!!! :top:
I don't drive a MINI, those are ugly clown cars that look like rollerskates...
-
:vroom:
Why should I name it? It's ONLY a car :vroom::vroom::vroom:
It's simply used to go from point A to point B!

Psssch
I'm cool
Liar. You're secretly foaming at the nought, ready to tackle Brian.
