  3. There's only one Christmas song that doesn't make me want to rip my eyeballs out and it's Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer I'm happy to play that!!!! Any version even I don't think we have to worry about copyright since we aren't being recorded
  4. We've never coordinated music before. I was planning to play a train whistle since River is a train. I don't know if I can handle Christmas music that long. It falls behind Country in my list of music that makes me crazy. But others might want to
  5. What a deal!!! I also have some little toy cars and bubbles that we can pass out And Hershey Christmas hugs

  7. Anyone want to dress nice this year? I think I am
  8. If you are not planning to meet at PTuning please post here. It's a lot easier to all caravan to the start location but if you can't make the time we need to know so we aren't waiting or wondering if we should head over For the new people We meet at PTuning Then caravan about 5 minutes to the start location where we line up for the parade. We'll have about 2 hours there to set up our cars. We stage near the bowling alley which has food warmth and bathrooms The organizers will tell us when to roll but you want to be near the cars once it's near parade time. Please bring stuff to decorate your MINI Various forms of tape, quick detailing products, snacks, clips, scissors, rope etc. You never know what you're going to have to figure out at the last minute. We'll all help each other to get the costumes together
  9. We simplified and she's doing a helicopter!!!!
  10. Watching the weather, so far it's looking good https://weather.com/weather/weekend/l/USVA0978:1:US
  11. I'm pretty sure we have razor blades but if you have a cutter bring it. If not, we'll find something to work
  12. I've got a lot of cardboard set aside. I'll need a lot but should have some to spare if anyone needs it. I also have some bottles of tempura paint, lots of brushes, scrap fabric, sewing machines etc We can work in the garage if it's cold What kinds of projects do people have planned? I'm going to make cardboard wheels in blue (set of 8) and a big white circle with face for the front. I also need to figure out how to set the steam pipe on the top. I think instead of using the fog machine I'm going to get some batting or fluffy material and pop it out of the steam pipe.
  13. Watching the Macy's parade and trying to think of how we could perform for the Manassas judges. Maybe our President can sing? :star:
  14. Will it be an evil clown popping out of the box?

  22. Tigger is going to soon be living in the driveway under a car cover. Last year he lived in an open garage but that's not an option and I'm using the garage so that I don't freeze my butt off in the morning so he's in the garage. Should he be on a trickle charge? How does this work? Any suggestions? I didn't do it last year and he fired right up when I would go start him every couple of weeks.
  23. Pretty sure they do
  24. Operation Second Chance is very excited about our donation and said that we are assisting in making a meaningful difference in a wounded veterans life. Here are a few examples from last week where they assisted. Scott is a veteran suffering from stage 4 terminal cancer, believed to be caused by burn pits while on deployment. He is the father of 4 young children. OSC has teamed up with several other organizations to make his wish last come true. He was actually able leave his hospital room at Walter Reed yesterday morning and travel by private plane, along with his wife and 4 children for a few days in Florida, in hopes of getting to Disney. This will be the last time this family will have a chance to spend quality time together on a vacation. L One organization covered the flight, one covered their lodging and OSC has provided spending money and funds for food. Hospice is also there with them… Another request from a case worker, letting us know that we lost another soldier this week. Jason took his life a few days ago. The case worker asked for assistance for Jason’s young daughter. She will now go live with her grandparents in another state. As the survivor of a father that took his own life, my heart goes out to this family. It just breaks my heart that so many live with the trauma of war and feel like there is no hope of ever living with the horrible after-effects of combat. There is so much left to do, to give these Soldiers and Marines hope for a new tomorrow…. Another request from a case worker, of a female soldier that was hit by a car while running PT one morning this week. Ms. Tucker comes from a family that is very poor and they didn’t have the funds to travel to be by her bedside; which appears to be very grim. OSC has provided emergency lodging, travel and funds to her parents, so they could be with her.
