I hope you guys get in. Keep calling since different people seem to have different answers. What gets me is every year we see a few empty cabins, how does that happen? One year the cabin across from us had some bikers that got the cabin that weekend. Last year the cabin across from us was empty the whole time.

I have a first gen '06 which is from before they made a sport button. But when I drive my husband's '09 I always use the sport button because it makes the steering feel more like my first gen's steering. I like the weight it adds

People go down on different days but almost everyone goes home on Sunday. Usually smaller caravans get arranged. The trip is 550 miles each way and I personally don't like a huge caravan for that long. You get into more road rage issues. My husband Mark and I actually spend two days heading down but come back in one day. I hate that drive home... When we get closer, there will be caravans forming up. We organize it in the MOTD thread or the clubhouse. Some people don't want to advertise on a public forum when they are leaving for vacation so then it gets organized in the clubhouse for privacy. Caravans can be 2 - 3 cars and rarely over 10 for this trip

Craig and I are doing Glamour Shots of the MINIs again this year. The sign up process will allow people to make an appointment when you sign up for the event. So if you wanted to do it this year get in there fast for the good times. The best is the early morning light when we might get fog.

It came to my attention that with all of our Dragon brains we don't mention the date of the Dragon here. MINIs on the Dragon is always the first weekend of May and it starts on the Wed prior. Many of us go the entire week The official website is http://minisonthedragon.com/ Accommodations are difficult in Fontana Village but if you book early enough (like now) you can get within 15 - 20 miles of the location. Any newbies that have questions please post them here

I'm very excited as all 3 dealerships have replied and they all have a fair amount of toys. Alexandria has almost two full boxes, MoCo has a full box and Annapolis has almost a full box. Catalina noticed on FB that Alexandria filled a Cabrio with toys!!!! I also asked Nick what he thought of the weather and he said that we should be fine if we stick to the main roads. He was mostly worried about the MoCo run that Ray is doing as they might get 3", but I'm hoping that we're starting early enough that we'll be out before there is a lot of accumulation.

The National Harbor area is so new that I can't find the Sunoco on Google Maps. They don't recognize National Harbor as a city so you have to put in Oxon Hill as the town. The satellite doesn't show the gas station yet. But I know it's right near the beltway and it's the only gas station that I can find for National Harbor
