Oh - thanks so much to both of you to be SO helpful. Much appreciated. Just let me know Corey what time would work for you. And Craig, could I please have your address so I can Google how to get here. Thanks! Nora
Sent via email and we look forward to seeing how it comes out!

Thanks Craig

Thanks Corey - waiting to hear from Craig - will keep you posted. Maybe sometime Saturday? Like late morning, early p.m.? I need to get Craig's address.
I responded to the PM once I was able to get to my email. We'll be around all day on Saturday so whatever time you and Corey want to drop in, there will be someone around.
The great thing about PD (not sure if this has already been said) is that if you don't like it, you can peel it off and no damage has been done.

My bodywork guy is gonna charge me $200 to remove the original bonnet stripes and buff out the hood. Then he'll install the competition stripes on the bonnet and boot and the red hashmarks on the fenders. He runs a custom shop and is very good at what he does. The only guy I will let touch my Vette.
Is that a CORvette or a CHEvette?
I think Ali used to drive a sporty little vette but I have a foggy recollection that hers may have been a CHEvette. You should trade notes with her!

Bumping to remind folks who are still interested. Lona is threatening me- says she will create work and muttered something about HOMER and a hammer...

That looks really, really nice!

Most of the dents are on the roof of betsy's yaris, any chance we could get a couple slots? How much time would you need to do a roof (would you be willing to do a roof?)
None of the roof dents are big, she was parking under a tree that was dropping pine cones for a year and has maybe a dozen divots from those.
Thanks!
Beau,
Take a couple of photos (see the info in the original post for specifics) and send them to Randy. Let him know that there are openings that are back to back if he can do it here. PM, email or post here once you get word back from Randy.

Can I change to the 3:30pm appointment?
There you go.

Just bumping this to see if there's anyone else that may need an appointment.

That's awesome news! I'm sure there are lots of folks in the club running around in 1st gen's with worn bushings and they don't even know it. It's like gray hair - you don't wake up one morning with it... it happens over time.
Any suggestions of simple ways that folks can check their bushings to see what kind of shape they are in and if they might need to be replaced?
-
Sounds like you've done your research. I'd still be concerned about the valving and internal bump stops but it sounds like it's working for others. The FSD's are great struts!

Hey everyone, just a reminder on the MOTD Tshirts. There is a minimum order required and we are just over 1/2 way there. We'd also like to get the orders done within the next couple of weeks so the shirts can be printed and we can get them delivered to you before everyone heads out for the Dragon.
Thanks and again, if you have any questions, please contact any DCMM board member.
Thanks,
Craig

no clue. I threw two darts at the computer screen and ordered whatever they hit.
YOLO
I bet you go through a lot of computer monitors like that don't you?
Definately check your struts before you install them with lowering springs - Chris is right and it'll leave you a very, very unhappy camper if you blow out those new struts that way.

I like the look! I figure "Go big, or go home"...

that looks awesome!!
that's it, I'm ordering that bar.
Cambo - there's a new user on the forums, he bought my Clubman and he mentioned possibly removing that VIP Quad bar that I left on the car. Ali (Tgggrr) knows his screen name, I don't recallw what it is. You may be able to work out a deal with him as he'll be in the market for an intact grill if he does decide to get rid of it.

My job is done here, I'll just pat myself on the back for a moment.
:hahaha:

P.S. I think that's the most emoticons that I have ever used in a single post. I sure hope the grammar cops don't bust me for it!

He might... it took effort to get him to come to the picnic, but he had fun once he was there. He also came to the brunch after the beltway run. So it's not completely out of the question, just not very likely.
Love the vomit smiley!
Please don't encourage Ali and emoticons - you'll be overwhelmed...

I will probably need a navigator. I can't imagine a 6-year-old will be much help...
Lona is a Navigator in search of a driver - I can vouch for her, she's VERY good at this event. We have a trophy to prove it!

Ugh +1 on the alignment. The pot holes are BAD. Maybe I'll be nice to Alberto and Justin when I bring Lucy in for clutch replacement and that'll be their treat lol.
Are you upgrading when it's replaced or just going with OEM?
I checked the part numbers and the Cooper S and JCW clutches cost the same but have different part numbers. When I had the last clutch put in Merlin, the SA said that there was an upgraded version that was being installed. It's a bolt in replacement - meant to handle the additional torque/hp so it certainly won't hurt to do the upgrade!

Hey everyone today for sale I have my Aux light set for all 1st gen MINI’S sorry 2nd gen owners this won’t work for you. It comes with 2 hella 500ff driving lights, 2 500ff fog lights (with upgraded lens due to glass breaking from a rock), two Outmotoring lower bracket sets( one set for fog lights and other set for driving lights), two heavy duty wiring harness combined into one for space saving, already precut lower radiator grill, and knee bolster with rocker switches. This system is a plug and play set you don’t need to do any modding to your first gen MINI except the screws to hold to the bumper carrier. Before you say “you can get this new on outmotoring for that price” let me say you can but you will not get the 2 upgraded heavy duty wiring harness, the upgraded fog lens, the precut lower grill (which took an hour+ of time to measure and cut and measure again), or the knee bolster with the switches already installed.
So now the price I am asking. $400 OBO plus shipping
paypal only

here is a link to how i had them installed
contact me if you have any questions
That is a good deal! Someone could walk away very, very happy with this!

The factory warranty covers the clutch. They replaced one is Merlin at about 20k.

+1 on that Ali. While technically a driving event, the driving isn't what it's all about. This event has been so much fun in the past.

SneakyBaron ~ Craig, If you get a call out while Randy is working on your car, you can take the Jeep in to work.
Ummm... The truck...

Here's the information on how to order the DCMM MOTD 14 Tshirts.
Anyone who orders has the option to select "Event Pickup" for free shipping or they will be charged shipping with their order. The shipping costs listed will cover the small flat rate USPS box which will hold up to 2 shirts. If you are ordering more than that or if you are ordering a sweatshirt/hoodie and you'd like to have it mailed to you, please proceed with your order with shipping and we'll contact you to make arrangements for the additional shipping costs to cover the medium flat rate box.
In the past, orders were placed via PM's, emails, letters, phone calls and various other means. At times, that caused confusion or you may have gotten the wrong size or style. Now, you order what you want and an order inventory is kept by the system.
What's the catch? The site requires the user to join or continue as a user. If for any reason you feel uncomfortable with this, please PM any board member with your order and we'll send you an invoice.
