  1. I'm confused - are we meeting at Passport or at Landmark Mall? Is it register at Passport then crossover to the mall?

  3. Really? We had a member with VA tags "AHH WTF" (there's a picture on the wall at MINI of Sterling) and the DMV recalled the tag 2 or 3 years ago... Granted it took them a good 5 years after the tag was issued before they recalled it... And the story of that tag - he was drunk and playing on the VA DMV's website and decided AHH WTF let's see what happens...
  4. FINALLY got a wave around here.... Black Countryman on Beulah St on Ft Belvoir.... Although given the look he gave me when he returned my wave, I'm pretty sure he had absolutely no idea why I waved at him in the first place...
  5. A car cover will help a little - but unless you're going to put the cover on everytime you park your MINI outside it's not worth the effort if this is your daily driver. Remember, even a well driven car is parked at least 80% of the day... Are you willing to be tagged as "that person" when you cover your MINI at the office... Enjoy your MINI - don't stress out over the paint...
  6. Of course the big thing there is that if you haven't taken care of your paint (wash and wax) when you remove the old stripes the paint where the stripes were will be a different color from the rest of the car...
  7. Ride the gnarly waves in the Potomac and Anacostia Ri -oh, right...
  8. The first picture is terrific. It has a great moody feel to it.
  9. I really like the last one a lot. I think it has a great moody feel in black and white.
  10. TATTRAT - you didn't break anything, it was a bug.... Ali - that looks really good.
  11. That's one of the best reproductions of Flickr's "This photo is unavailable" message I've seen in a really long time!
  12. Couple of photos from Solomon's Island this weekend - Drum Point Lighthouse Antique boat on display at the Calvert Marine Museum
  13. Very nice shots... I love the contrast of the black and white images - but my eyes keep getting pulled away from the flowers and to the horizon where the trees meet the sky. It seems to glow a bit which is distracting to me.
  14. I gotta hand it to those guys - they were willing to hold those poses for as long as I wanted...
  15. Finally got out with the camera (and pulled the pictures off the camera)... The Occoquan River was really looking great after the rain storms two weeks ago - sadly I wasn't happy with any of the pictures I took of it. I did get some good shots at the USMC Museum in Quantico though- This one's my favorite- Thinking about a trip down to Solomons Island this weekend if the weather is decent to shoot the lighthouses. Haven't been back there since one of the first runs the club made there back in 2003...
  16. Nice - but then again I'm a bit of a sucker for the flowy water thing..
  17. Hands down - the second one is the best. Fantastic shot! :top:
  18. See Cleveland really is a nice place!!!!! Although the city has really taken the "Burning River" to heart, besides there being a really good Microbrew by that name, there's a Roller Derby team (Burning River Roller Girls) and even the local MINI club (Burning River MINIs) among others... However the Cuyahoga River is much cleaner now - it was upgraded to just Polluted, it used to be rated as Toxic... Catalina feel free to use that as a wall paper. And nharrison - I don't think that's your good side, you might need to get a shot from the other side...
  19. This thread got quiet... Nobody else willing to showcase pictures? Here's a few more since nobody else has jumped in... Sunset from the top of Terminal Tower in Cleveland. Sunrise in Long Beach CA Night at the Queen Mary
  20. If the cop is looking for a reason to pull you over - and if you're getting nabbed for no front tag they're looking for a reason to pull you over - the Euro tag isn't going to get you out of it...
  21. Since it's not an official plate issued by the DMV they would ticket you for not having a front plate. I've been through this - even if the tag matches your state registration, it's not the tag issued by the DMV and therefore does not meet the front tag requirement... If they want to get you for not having a front tag - a Euro tag won't get you out of it...
