  1. Keckert, when on Wednesday are you planning to leave?

Thanks! We're on the RSVP list now. Anyone traveling to MOTD on Wednesday, we'd love to get a group of us to head down the road together. Let me know and we'll determine a mee
  2. I'm wondering how the detours are going to affect this time!

Roughly 9 hours, give or take, depending on what speed you are willing to drive. Also, with the most direct route not available, you might need to allow a little more time
  3. How long does it say that will take to get there?

I just checked my Droid which uses Google maps, It's sending me I- 81 to I-40 to TN 115/ 129 so to be safe I should print the directions and map info from the MOTD site. I do have the traffic option but don't know if it would re-route or not.

I just thought I'd check and see if it knew anything

  4. YEP! A lot of the fun of it is just trying to keep it between the lines. Taking the lazy route is not what MINI's are for, they can readily handle the corners with no need to cut them, which is illegal and very dangerous.

    That's awesome news.

For all you newbies... even at the speed limit, the Dragon is a blast. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that most people can't even do it at the limit, not without crossing the double yellow lines on corners (which is a BIG no-no).

  5. Awesome! I heard you found a place to stay, also! I may head down Wednesday evening, still haven't found any one to join me on the road. Oh well....

Last minute decision but it looks like I am going  Now I just n
  6. Well, I'm thinking about ordering a new set of tires soon. I've been sticking with the standard 17" Dunlop SP9000 Sport Runflats but now am considering switching to something different. For two reasons:

    1) Lower cost if possible

    2) Might try running 215/45/17 instead of 205/45/17

Tirerack's cheapest Runflat in the 215 size is the Kumho Ecsta SPT XRP (Ultra High Performance Summer).

I definitely want to stick with Runflats. If these Kumho's have decent wear, traction (wet/dry) and performance then I'll be happy. I'm just not sure how they'll compare to the Dunlops since they're half the price!!

    So, any suggestions?

  7. Gigi, you're right, I checked with Emily, (StoopidGirl). and she said she passed all her supply over to Nate (gnatster). Where they've gone from there, dunno.

I'm not sure if Gnatster (MotoringAlliance.com) has the style you like but I know he's got quite an inventory and is located near Dallas, TX. No custom agent required. :-)

I've got a set too, very cool! I just made an inquiry about their status - waiting to hear back.
