Buffettbassman Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 Anyone use them??? Have to replace two back tires and I'm going to get rid of the run flats for all season performance times but don't have $1000 to do it. Thanks! Cooper S Convertible...the best things in life are topless!
Buffettbassman Posted January 31, 2010 Author Report Posted January 31, 2010 I'll gladly take recommendations for an all season time that holds the road like my Dunlop's do. Also...I have 205/45R17's and want to widen them out a little. Knowing NOTHING about tires... what size? THANKS! Cooper S Convertible...the best things in life are topless!
JustJAY Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 Are you a 1st or 2nd Gen? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
e30r56 Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 And what dunlops and do you want summer or all season tires? I wouldn't recommend nankang tires, cheap chinese junk. I would go for 215/45r17 size if you are looking for a slightly wider tire with next to no consequences. You also open yourself up to many more options that are less than $200 a tire. cmcveay Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 Would have to agree with the previous post. I went up to a 215/45R-16 with no problems and then a 225/45R-17 and I found that I had some rubbing in the rear of the wheel well. I've had a very good experience with the Kumho Ecsta ASX which is a high performance, all-season tire and I'll soon be putting those back on after my recent "misadventure" and you can't really beat the price. 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon "Homer" 2012 MB/CR JCW R55 "Merlin" Sold 2009 LB/LB R56 "Archie" Sold
