cbseven Posted May 28 Report Posted May 28 Hello! I'm looking to purchase R55 Clubman S performance parts, particularly suspension, but would be interested in other items as well. Thanks!
1975_mini Posted June 9 Report Posted June 9 What are your goals from the suspension. Are you looking to just change the stance of the clubby (lower) or improve the handling. What type of driving are you doing with the car, only fun twisties and weekend drives or is it your communter? Asking bcause this kind of defines what upgrades yyou would be looking for. Same kind of questions for exhaust are you looking to change the sound (louder, etc...) or are you looking to have less restrictive flow to increase performance? Do you currently have any upgrades? - current tires - brakes (pads / rotors) - any pre engine air flow improvements (intake, intercoolers, piping) 1975 Mini 1000, 998cc A+ w/ K&N air filter, 10" Mamba wheels
cbseven Posted August 31 Author Report Posted August 31 Modding for fun, mostly. Looking for a lower stance, sporty setup that has the ability to deal with road imperfections. Exhaust system I'm still researching, as don't want any issues with emissions inspection. 1
1975_mini Posted September 19 Report Posted September 19 If you are only looking to lower it a little and give a more sporty stance quality lowering springs (HR and NM engineering) may give you the look you are going for. Paired with koni yellow struts is a great setup for sporty driving with some dappening adjustment at a good price point. DetroitTuned.com and Waymotorworks.com are both vendors with websites that are active in the mini community to get ideas. as for exhaust I would focus on cat back options to not have to deal the emission sensor issues. 1975 Mini 1000, 998cc A+ w/ K&N air filter, 10" Mamba wheels
