Mav Posted May 31, 2021 Report Posted May 31, 2021 So I have been on a quest to solve the problem of my subwoofer amp overheating (its built right into the sub). I dont really have an easy way to wire in an existing fan to the cables my amp use and in my research I heard about the storage packages include a 12v outlet in the trunk. Has anyone had this retro fitted? I think I found where it WOULD go but im also just looking for any way to power a fan only when my car is turned on. Anyone have suggestions? Pic of where I think the outlet would go is attached!

Thanks, I think its only there if you have the storage package. Im going to try and see if that plastic bit comes out, i couldnt really get a good grip on it before. If not I did come up with a work around finally that ill post about if it DOES work haha 1
Mav Posted June 8, 2021 Author Report Posted June 8, 2021 So i spoke to the dealership about it and their parts center. It is entirely possible to get it installed but they havent gotten back to me on an estimate. GT Peace also thinks it should be straightforward but could be pricey labor wise and since they are 45 minutes away I havent been able to stop in to have it get looked at.
