Fuel pump recall

I got this from a past club member today and wanted to pass it on

Hey, heads up to anyone in the club: Clubby's check engine light has been coming on intermittently over the past week, will come on for 30 sec when the car first starts and then go away. Runs rough for 20-30sec and then fine, happened 2-3 times. Today it stayed on and was running rough pretty continuously. Looked at codes, signs of high pressure fuel pump. He's a 2011 Clubman S, which wasn't part of the original 2006-2009 recall. Turns out that's it and MINI is replacing the pump for 2006-2015 for up to 8 years or 100k miles. Figured it might be worth sharing

There was a class action law suit on the HVFP, so also if you already had to replace it, you can file to be reimbursed the cost of labor and parts.

They will replace if it is going bad or has failed only, not just because it has not been replaced yet. so you have to wait for that bomb to go off, lol.

I had my fuel pump replaced twice on my '11 Clubby. 2nd time was on my way home from Fontana. Went into limp mode in Asheville. Fortunately that time I'd left on Sat and was able to detour to Hendricks.
