chrimson Posted April 10, 2016 Report Posted April 10, 2016 So we had a pretty bad winter here in Washington, DC where I'll be parking street-side. The snow had come down and covered cars with a few feet. Then most of us were shut-in since plows took a few days to dig us out, during which it was hard to even walk through the neighborhood, just to potentially clean off the top. Any experience, knowledge or tips? -Chris
TATTRAT Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 I'm not speaking from MINI experience, but, putting a tarp over helps tremendously. Most of the Jeep guys I knew that had soft tops would be fine with it. Easy to sluff off the bigger accumulations, then just pull the tarp off when it was light enough to do so. Structurally, I am not sure how MINI handles these things, but, I am SURE they plan for things like heavy snow accumulation. flickr
carman63 Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 My wife's R57 has survived 5 winters w/ no issues. I just knock the snow off of the roof every time it snows.
