unstable Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 Does anyone have any experience with any of the sunroof wind deflectors? I like having it all the way open, but the wind noise drives me crazy, especially at highway speeds and above. Brian 2006 British racing green with black roof.
mashadwell Posted April 1, 2015 Report Posted April 1, 2015 Just ordered a Weather Tech wind deflector for $60 plus shipping. I read a lot of great reviews.
unstable Posted April 2, 2015 Author Report Posted April 2, 2015 Thats actually one of the ones I was looking at; so I look forward to your review. Brian 2006 British racing green with black roof.
mashadwell Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 My review is not good. I had a hard time installing it. You have to pull away the rubber seal around the sunroof to get to the metal lip. The clips don't fit on the metal lip very well. The deflector did not sit flush on the roof. There was a big gap on the right side. Later the thing popped off. My recommendation is DO NOT BUY IT. We will see how cooperative they are with the refund. Stay tuned.
unstable Posted April 6, 2015 Author Report Posted April 6, 2015 Darn, that sucks....thanks for the info though. Good luck with the refund. Brian 2006 British racing green with black roof.
mashadwell Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 Weather tech is sending me some new clips. I will give it a try. I do not have high hopes. Stay tuned.
1975_mini Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 Weather tech is sending me some new clips. I will give it a try. I do not have high hopes. Stay tuned. I know they warp in shipping and storage sometimes. With some warm sunny days now you may want to set it on your roof in place for a few hours and see if it relaxes into the shape of your roof for a better fit.
