Interested in a little BBQ, Potato Salad, Apple Pie and Frozen Yogurt on Independence Day? Throw in a short spirited run and it should be a pleasant afternoon!

Sweet Frog Frozen Yogurt30 minute spirited drive – BBQ at GarageMahal.

Gathering Point: 10:00

Sweet Frog @ 8971 Ox Road, Lorton, VA

In the “Shoppes of Lorton Valley” Plaza

Depart the parking lot at 10:30.

We've done this route before; it's a comfortable run in the foothills near the Occoquan. We’ll drive down Hampton Road, through Historic Clifton, VA and the Popes Head Rd Finale before arriving at GarageMahal for BBQ and Cornhole. BYOB. Feel free to bring sides.

People can also skip the run and go directly to the BBQ. Craig will meet us at the parking lot, but head home after we depart toward Clifton.

Bring the kids! I've got a mountain of NAPA trucks to give away.

I just finished the pre-run. Roads look good besides the normal bicycles and garbage trucks, but I doubt there will be too many troubles tomorrow.

I'm making Banana Pudding. 1 with bananas and 1 without. Please bring a container to take a scoop home with you. Scoop a serving early and toss in in the freezer.

Nudge Nudge, Brat Face!

Not sure I'll make it to the run. My cousin's flight that was supposed to depart from Orlando at 6:40 is just now boarding. We'll definitely head over for the BBQ.

I have a handful of American Flags for today's drive. :) There may not be too many of us, but we'll be in spirit.

In case anyone needs the address to the house:

5200 Lindsay St

Fairfax, VA

Driver Alert: University Drive in Fairfax has some activity going on today; not sure if it's a parade or what, but it'll be blocked off.

I made Sangria!

Thank you everyone for making the day so great! We realized later that there were 20 people through the house during the day (and 7 dogs). That's a pretty good turn-out!

Food was awesome! Craig ate banana pudding for breakfast :).

Cornhole was fun too; I'd never played before.
