Odds and Ends Detailing clinic - Part deux

Recommended Posts

Darryl has graciously offered to host another detailing clinic for those interested in knowing how to properly wash and detail your car from start (wheel and rim washing and the 2 bucket wash approach) to polishing to every last thing. This will not be a MINI only event this time but I found the July event VERY informative.

Darryl is the local supplier for Adam's Premium Car Care Products and has supplies for sale. (http://www.adamspolishes.com)

10 AM start

Odds and Ends Detailing (http://www.oddsandendsdetailing.com)

is just off S. Sterling Blvd, 3 blocks east of Rt 28, not far from Sterling MINI

201 Davis Drive, Suite LL (lite industrial park, around the back)

Sterling, VA 20164

I just met Darryl today and had a chance to look around his shop. What a great guy! And his shop has a LIFT! He rents it out for $10/hour. (Sometimes jack stands just aren't enough!) However, if your DIY job requires specialty tools, bring them.

Odds and Ends has also generously donated raffle prizes for MINIs Take the Beltway.

I didn't mean to hijack this thread... So... Remember that there's a detailing clinic on October 20th!

If you have a few free minutes on this rainy evening, or some time in the future, take a look at these car care videos from Adam's:

They have a good line up off instructional videos. Other car care product lines have similar videos but this is a nice reference set on one page.

And don't use too much polish/product!!

Good to meet people and put faces with the car names/avatars. :wavey:

Yes, Darryl is a sweetheart and extremely knowlegeable... he and Adam's products make it much easier! I was terribly late (deer attacked son's car last night while he drove on a 95 exit ramp at 55mph - lost hours of sleep getting him settled/de-glassed), but I still learned a bunch.

Thanks Darryl and thanks Ali for setting this up.

Lawry

Buckle in & hold on....
