Poison Ivy Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 Does anyone have any experience with or tips for repair of sagging headliner upholstery (cloth fabric on the ceiling of the MINI)? This is an issue in Geno's MINI (El Coqui). Should we just remove the old and replace it? Any vendor/shop recommendations? Thanks in advance!
TGGRRR (Ali) Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 If you go the professional route check with Seatco in Falls Church, they do very good work at reasonable prices. They handled replacing my convertible top on the Celica and were great and much cheaper then the other quote I got. Tigger 2006 the cabrio and Riversong the 2014 Countryman
68wmcs Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 I've removed and put suede in my 04 Subaru STi. It's a pain if you don't know what you're doing, but saves a lot of money if you DIY. I used 3M spray adhesive and a glue gun. This DIY is for a Subaru but applying the fabric is the same, I used the same method but I added a glue gun for all the corners to make sure it doesn't sag. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1487695&highlight=headliner If you have any questions or plan on doing it yourself, let me know and maybe we can work out a day were I can help. GreenCactus Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 I think this happened to Katie's MINI. I know she either got it fixed or fixed it herself. Maybe PM her?
