Scavenger Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 A lot of times, I think that when we say "butt dyno", it is really the "ear dyno", for instance, opening the intake on the R53 gives you more supercharger "whine", but doesn't necessarily equate to a large (or any) power improvement. The sound of the whine adds to the sensation though and kind of tricks you into thinking you're accelerating faster. that7guy Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 Are you running 22 psi on your Mini or Miata? Would this do you any good lol....sucks that you have to pull the A/C http://www.grsmotorsport.co.uk/r53frontmount.html Miata, although I would LOVe a front mount on my mini. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RichSperry Posted June 12, 2011 Report Posted June 12, 2011 I installed an Alta. No issues at all. No lag, 2-3F difference between aimbient and intake air temp. Jan tune and about 16 psi. Works for me. No matter where you go, there you are!
Micron Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 This is what the stock intercooler looks like from an 09 mcs. This is the first pic I've seen of the stock fmic. Thanks for posting! I can't believe how tiny it is!!
RichSperry Posted October 16, 2011 Report Posted October 16, 2011 Yep, it's really small... No matter where you go, there you are!
