cmcveay Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 Saturday May 14th, 2011 Registration 8:30 Drivers Meeting 9:30 First Car Off 10:15 Start Location: Casey Collision Repair 975 J. Clyde Morris Blvd Newport News, VA. just north of I-64 This is a fun, challenging Gimmick Road Rally. You will receive a set of directions with questions. You will need to find the answers on signs, buildings, fences and just about anything else we can think up. No speed is involved and there is a 4 hour time limit. In fact, the faster you go, the better chance you have of missing an answer. Slower is better for getting questions answered. We also insist all local, state and federal laws be observed while on our rally. You will not be asked to do anything illegal. At the end of the Rally, we'll have a cook out with hamburgers, hot dogs, snacks and drinks for sale, to help raise additional money for the Relay for Life. Hope to see ya there. RyanMBlue Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 Awwwww comeon... Local, State AND Federal laws? Can't we just follow 2 out of the 3? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
TGGRRR (Ali) Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 Dale told me he the first person in has never won the rally. When we did our rally last year a ticket would disqualify you. We had everyone put their license into a sealed envelope and made sure it was still sealed at the end of the rally. Just drive like you normally do, while looking for clues and following a route Tigger 2006 the cabrio and Riversong the 2014 Countryman
maacodale Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Major congrats to Ali and Mark for their second place trophy at the 3rd annual Relay For Life Gimmick Road Rally. For a team that was from far out of town, they did a very impressive job, missing first place by less than 6 points!
TGGRRR (Ali) Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Thanks Dale We had fun. I loved your rally. I don't think you got an advantage by knowing the area either. Your clues were so obscure. It was really challenging. Ali Tigger 2006 the cabrio and Riversong the 2014 Countryman
