Brian0758 Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 I will be redoing my brakes / rotors soon and was wondering if anyone has use the TyrolSport Brake Caliper kit. http://www.tyrolsport.com/index.php?p=product&id=172&parent=64 They replace the soft rubber bushings with bronze alloy bushings and stainless steel guide pins. It would seem that this would allow the calipers to operated more smoothly but wasn't sure if they were worth the extra $107. 2012 Jeep Rubicon
cmcveay Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 I don't know Brian. I haven't read anything about the calipers on the MINI being flimsy or anything. My brain says that you might pick up some serious noise and vibration with a bronze bushing - the rubber bushing "floats" the caliper or isolates it. I'd also be worried about corrosion build up and all.
