Replacement key

I got a reserved parking spot at work, but it's a piggy back spot. Luckily I share with my good friend who sits right next to me. Since we work slightly different hours I was thinking it would be nice to have a spare key to give her on days she needs to move my car. I saw this on Ebay, but it's a little confusing

Has anyone ever gotten one of these replacement keys and configured them?

I do not know anything about this company, but what I think they are saying is this is a completely blank key. You would need to have the key part cut. You would also need to program the remote. They say they will give you instructions, but they do not say what hardware is required to do the programming. I had to get a bunch of keys made about a year ago and the lock store off Shady Grove Rd where Red white and Blue is located said they could make the keys for MINIs. I never followed up any further.

Here are a couple of links for programming new keys for 1st Gen MINI's. Doesn't sound all that hard to program the key, Of course, if you only want it for starting the car, you wouldn't have to do all of that, you'd just have to have the key cut to fit.
