  1. Sweet! Thanks! Mirror caps are in the paint shop awaiting to be painted!
  2. Was wondering if anyone knew the paint code for the rear bumper cover/C-pillar paint? I'm repainting my side mirror covers the same color. I know that it comes in either silver or black and mine is the silver color, but the paint code for that particular color doesn't show up on the plaque in the engine bay nor the door jamb. Any help would be awesome! Thanks in advance!
  3. Here's the GP...
  4. I made a slight error that I fixed on my original post with your car depicted. There seems to be a difference between pre-2011 and 2011 and newer JCW front bumper designs. It's a series of seams it looks like, that cuts the bumper into multiple pieces. Also, I blacked out your grill surround like a real JCW, but I made an error there as well because yours is still chrome. Fixed that too. The changes are reflected on the linked picture on my original post.
  5. Here ya go, SneakyBaron:
  6. I love the coupe with those wheels. Actually, may I ask you for a favor? In order for me to accurately depict the wheels, could you please snap two photos as close as you can to these angles: When aiming the camera, keep the lens at the same height off the ground as the wheel center cap. Doing up your car gives me the chance to do the front and rocker panels of the JCW cars and I can also add those wheels to my library. Your car's Spice Orange, right? Color changes are super easy. Blacked-out headlights. Am I missing any other exterior details? One last question, spoiler up or down?
  7. That, too. And of course, the original article, the Morris Mini. In the meantime, no one with a 2nd gen want their car cartooned?
  8. After the F56 Which is after the Justa and JCW versions of the R55-59, which are, generally, just fascia changes so that shouldn't take too long. I hope . . .
  9. Alrighty, all S versions of R55-59 are done: Just need to build up a bigger wheel library and do Justa and JCW versions. Any requests from the current line-up?
  10. I'll do the F56 after I'm done with the R55/56/57/58/59. Sheesh, so many variations! Speaking of, I completed the Clubman, done up as my Clubman, Clarkson: Also added to my library, the 5-Star Pace Spoke wheels above.
  11. Those look good! I was more aiming for cel animation style cartoon, hence they're very basic. Plus they're easily customizable to other colors.
  12. I've seen a few car caricatures on people's sigs and was wondering who the artist was. I'd like to network! I myself do CARtoons and wanted to know if there was a use for this type of art. Here's one of my MINIs, Hammond, done up in that style: I've devised a template where I can change the colors easily, but don't have much in terms of wheel styles (Hammond has Conical Spokes). I'm slowly expanding the options like stripes and exterior visible stuff. I'm also doing a Clubman since my other MINI is a Clubman, Clarkson is his name. The convertible/coupe/roadster variations are easy to do as well. But I do need your help so I can build my wheel library. These are the color combos I have so far: Whaddaya guys think?
  13. Great coverage by Bill, the photos were top notch! It really captured the essense of community that you guys project
  14. Had a great time guys, thanks for the memories!
  15. Count me in for one, please!
  16. That Datsun 510! So awesome. My favorite 3-box design from that era, tied with the BMW 2002tii!
  17. Hey all, just wanted to say hi. I'm not new to car forums nor car clubs (was a VW guy a few years back) but I figure I'd give this one a shot since it seemed like it was a tight knit group and not a bunch of trolls like in past experiences. My first MINI was a 2012 MINI Cooper S named Hammond. I ordered the car to my specs and waited the painfully long wait until he arrived at my dealership for pick-up. Here he is the day I picked him up: White Silver with white roof/mirrors, Sport package and pano roof! Still love him to death to this day. So much so that I wanted to keep his mileage low so I bought another MINI as a daily driver, a 2009 Justa I picked up used, in yellow with black roof/mirrors, and I named him May. I tried gussying up May with a new set of wheels when a friend was selling his JCW web-spoke wheels but the fact that I was having mad mechanical issues with him meant I had to let him go. So enter my current daily driver, Clarkson, a 2011 MCS Clubman in Ice Blue I bought used as well. Ever since I got my first MINI, I never wanted to buy anything larger or less enjoyable to drive. My friends tell me my cars are diesel-powered pile-drivers on wheels, but I think that's part of the fun. Nothing beats the mechanical whir or clack or buzz of knowing that I'm driving a machine that I'm closely connected to, that I'm involved in the experience, that I point the direction and it goes exactly there, with precision and scary velocity. They can have their Camrys and Corollas. I'll take my pile drivers any day! So here are the little buggers . . . Hammond: Clarkson: And if you're curious, here's my brief history of car ownership: Oh and here's me, captain of the cramped escape pod Clarkson:
