Dry ice might be dangerous in the small vehicle. I'm not in the mood to suffocate in front of the children. I might swing for a small battery operated fog machine that I've been eyeing on Amazon, it's on sale and I love making fog I think foamboard is fairly reasonable at Michael's there's one near my house. We should buy them all before we show up to my house though to save time. I'll set up the event on the calendar.

Thanks Chris Yes the 27th. That's when family will be leaving so we can do something. My thought is we gather to create the pieces that we'll need for the parade. As usual we'll assemble at the parade. I'm thinking for River to be a train I'll need some sort of way to do something to her wheels and also make a smoke stack. It would be cool if I could rig the smoke machine to send smoke through the stack but I don't know if the car can generate enough power to run the smoke machine. We'll have to test it Chris - How will you do the truck?

I put out a call to the Cosplay group for elves. It would be great if we get some of them to help by walking. Everyone get your elf costumes

We need to gather and plan. I'm thinking the Sunday before the parade which is the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Does this work for people? We can meet at my house in Springfield if no one else can host. Think about what kind of toy your MINI will be and post it here. We need to figure out the logistics and supplies If I drive River then she's going to be a train. Wizzer are you doing the batmobile? Please post here so we can start planning and give your feedback in regards to the meeting on the 26th We also have to plan handouts for the crowd

Pre-donations are at $540 If you donate early you save time and get more raffle tickets http://dcmetrominis.org/mttbdonate We've also changed the process for raffle tickets bought for people that won't be staying for the drawing. IF you will not be staying then let the raffle seller know. They will have you sign a form which assigns you a unique number. Write that number onto the back of all of your tickets. It will be faster and more legible than writing your name and contact info onto each ticket. We are also not going to raffle the grand prize off to anyone not in attendance. So if you want the grand prize (still not sure what it is) then have a friend claim it for you.

We lost our photographer for the event. I can shoot it if needed but would rather not. Does anyone want to volunteer or have a friend that would be interested?

I just ordered streamers and window paint to decorate River. I'll have plenty to share but not enough for everyone so think about how to make your MINI festive for the event. Aim High Air Force!!!!

I can't remember what time is judging? We usually all show up around 9:00, right? Get the cars decorated and they judge later. Just trying to figure out when to show up

Competition is stiff but Passport always treats us well. A few years ago I inspired the suck up to Passport category. So far no one has challenged me on that one
