I'm leaning on getting tint (at least on the sunroof). Not sure if it'll look wrong on a Laser Blue/White though.Oh, and there's a "Was it you" thread here too, a couple posts down from this one

Saw a Pepper white (not sure if MC or MCS) around the Shirlington area with a Hello Kitty sticker in the upper right rear window. Parked in my parking lot

I installed Cricket's boot stripes myself. The hardest part was lining them up. I'm happy to help if you decide to do it yourself.

Watched some installation videos and yeah, it does seem pretty straightforward. Clean car and careful layout (and tape) before taking the backing off.
I guess at this point it's just figuring out what I want.

I know a place in chantilly near the corner of lee rd and route 50. getting my brakes installed there next week, will try to get the info. or if you want to put it on I have a friend with vinyl cutter.

I'm torn between having them installed and installing them myself. Mostly because I haven't done it before and so figure I'd leave out some critical step

One of the things that I want to do is add some stripes, but the options from MINI weren't what I want.
What I have in mind isn't terribly exotic or difficult, but what I'd really like to do is go to someone's shop and lay a template or test or something on the car to see if it looks like I think it will. Then, either at that time or on a return trip, have the shop install them.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a shop in the area?

I really wanted to go to this since it'd be my first opportunity to meet a bunch of DCMMers, and had intended to, but I've got out of town friends coming in and they wouldn't be so keen to hang out at MoS.

You're right, you don't need to be a member to join. The difference is member can make a reservation before hand and at lower rate.
If you live near Frederick, they will also have their first event on Mar 28th and 29th. @ Harvey

You can first register as a member's guest and let them know that you'll apply for member at the event.

I think they've some mod on their suspension, light weight rims, good tires and ......... awesome drivers.
Actually I guess I could see that, power-wise an Accent might be competitive with say a JustACooper.
