From what I recall the cabin I was in did not have a grill and neither did the one that Bill was in.

Hey Gigi,
When you ask this group about mods for a MINI be prepared to open your wallet
DCMM is full of members who are mod-a-holics
I currently have lowering springs, adj. sway bar links and new brake rotors/pads sitting in my garage waiting to be installed.

Okay, who's up for a road trip on Monday? I'm starting a new thread under events planning and feelers so I can run a little poll.
OH me :itsme:me :itsme:! ! !
Oops I gotta work on Monday

I'm still waiting on Scavenger to stop teasing about a run down to the Crutchfield store! I'll PM you Jason.
Just saw this on Crutchfield's facebook:
"Starting Saturday February 20th our Annual Outlet Clearance Sale begins! Save at least 10% on all in stock Outlet inventory items! The sale runs through March 6th, so be sure to stop by the store and check out all the great deals!"
Maybe it is time for a roadtrip

I went to the course last year. it is a great course especially for folks who will be attending their first Dragon in April. :top:
That is something I did not consider that the class would also help me with the twisties
Might just have to consider taking the class even if I decide not to autocross :top:
-
Craig you beat me to it. Saw this on C3M website last night and was going to post it later
Now I just need to decide if I want to try some autocross this year :hmmmm2:
-
I still have one new in box, never got to install it in my R53 before I sold it. It does auto up and traction off auto.if anyone wants it let me know.
Hey Jason, I sent you an PM about this. Thanks Brian

Not going this year. I don't know about MINInurse though.
No Way Jay! Who is this old guy suppose to  with at the Dragon :questionmark:
-
That would be my main concern is they could seize up without proper lubrication or in cold weather like you stated!

I will be redoing my brakes / rotors soon and was wondering if anyone has use the TyrolSport Brake Caliper kit.
http://www.tyrolsport.com/index.php?p=product&id=172&parent=64
They replace the soft rubber bushings with bronze alloy bushings and stainless steel guide pins. It would seem that this would allow the calipers to operated more smoothly but wasn't sure if they were worth the extra $107.

Last year HR MINI had our Spring Fling on Saturday and met y'all on Sunday for your Spring Fling. Maybe we can do a Spring Fling on Sunday. Would love to hit up Wrights for a wheelie or Franks for the Memories in Buena Vsta for lu

Thanks Katie for hosting this year's party :top:

Does anybody know of a tuner shop where i could go get a Pulley installed? I know of a place in Manassas but $350 is just to much for me.
Pulley installs can be pretty expensive due to what is involved. From what I recall a typically install with parts can range from $300 to $400.
You might give Dan at MachV http://www.fastmini.net/ and get a quote from him. They are located in Sterling.

I plan on bringing some pretzel chips, pita chips, hummus & spinach dip. :eating:
See ya all tomorrow

How many people are sleeping on that couch? I thought Craig and Lona were on it until Wed
As far as I know, I was the one that got the couch for a few days! If Craig & Lona are sharing, it better be a big couch for all 3 of us
-
This is the first time I will have driven down in one day. After my crazy 14 hour NW Indiana to DC trip, I figure I can handle anything! I'm happy to have company on the drive if anyone else is going down that early.
I was planning on Monday. You could possibly talk me into going down on Sunday but that would mean another day of me on the couch at your cabin
-
Count me in :top: I am planning on heading down on Monday
-
Go for it! I looked but I do not think I can add a sub folder.
-
Hey Brian can you send me a friend request for him?
Actually all I have is the Facebook page for Minis on the Dragon.

I signed us up yesterday but I still don't see us in the list. It's killing me...
I would not worry about it. It looks like they are pretty busy with registration from his recent posting on Facebook:
"WOW..we had 146 registrations so far today, I only got to process 69 so far. Guess I know what I'll be doing tomorrow. (last year we had 41 registrations on day 1)"
You should be on the list later today once they get caught up :top:
-
After registered, I went thru the events listing and decided to sign up for a couple runs. I plan on doing the " Sunrise Drive throught the Smokies" and the "Heinzelmannchen Brewery Tour". I am so ready for the week at the Dragon :top:
-
I would think that most of the cabins will be quiet except for the ones near Stonehedge aka the fire pit
-
I have the whole week off but I am not sure when I will be coming down. Need to verify when Quitta is renting the cabin. If I can find sleeping arrangements I am planning on heading down early.

I do recall seeing a grill over by the big fire pit but that sure would not be convenient.
A few of those cheap hibachi grills would work in a pinch
