Big_G1010 Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 Has anybody upgraded their Xenon HID headlights to a higher color temp like 5500k or 6000k? If so, can you share your comments? I just had the OEM MINI LED DRLs installed on my 2009 JCW. They do look awesome. I'd like to have the white color of the LED DRLs (6000k) to match my Xenon headlights (4300k) and OEM rally lights. I've done a fair amount of research regarding which Xenon and halogen bulbs to use, and unfortunately have many different answers.
RichSperry Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Pretty sure any D1s bulb will work. But, usually the higher you go with the temp, (6000K) the less light the bulb emits. 4300K is really pretty white. The highest I'd go would be 5000K. No matter where you go, there you are!
