If you are interested in running for the board, attending these meetings (that are open for all members) is a great way to see what happens 'behind the curtain.'

Exactly and if you can't make the meetings ask anyone one of us present or past board members. I would say that the time commitment isn't huge, but the investment of energy is the important part.
