john171 Posted March 26, 2013 Report Posted March 26, 2013 From an on going discussion over at NAM about thermostat failures in both 1st & 2nd gens. "SA told me the Thermostat is part of the emission control system, and therefore is covered by the 7yr/70k emissions warranty." This is shared in the NAM forum, I am trying to find out which dealer they got this info from, will post here when I find out. If any one here has had this issue it would be good to know how you made out, and if it was covered by the emissions warranty. Heard back from the poster and he is from Cali, and his dealer is MINI of Monrovia, CA. Guess we'll need to follow up with our dealers, I also posted on CarlisleMINI and C3M. Stay tuned...

I need to get the intake cam valve replaced too, been debating over doing it myself or paying for it. Comments? TIA Ron '08 Chili Red MCa R56 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
