CapsFanVA Posted February 11, 2013 Report Posted February 11, 2013 I've been sick and have only driven my mini maybe 10 miles since I had the new stereo put in. Now the air bag system failure light won't go out. I did have to have new steering wheel controls put in and since I didn't do it does anyone know if you have to disconnect the air bag system? RDG_RCR Posted February 11, 2013 Report Posted February 11, 2013 If they disconnected the airbag without disconnecting the battery first it can/will trigger the airbag light in BMWs. I believe you have to take it to the dealer to turn off (or have a scan tool).. I'm not sure if MINI is similar?
