How difficult is it to replace both side curtain & front seats in an 2004 mini base model...also which sensors need to be replaced & after all that will I need to see the dealer before she'll run right again?

Anybody have or know of a mini mini transmission in need of a new home, 5 or 6spd, even an automatic if all the pieces are there to get it yo run (this is the Non-S version

I've got an 2004 mini 5spd, she's developed a horrible rattle in her tranny, I pulled it and replaced clutch disk, plate & bearing...put her back together and dagnabit, still got that blasted rattle. ANY ideas...Also considering swapping out 5spd for an automatic...How difficult would this be?
