  1. Corey has been crazy busy but I will remind him to chirp in. There are no real spots to stop on the dragon itself. It is very dangerous to stop other Than to pull over for a car to pass you. There are camera men set up all along the route and will get good photos of your car for you, you just have to search their site for your car.

  2. Event Title: External Event: MINIS On The Dragon

    Event Date: 04/27/2022 12:00 AM to 05/01/2022 12:00 AM

    Event Address:

    What Is "MINIs on Dragon"?

That's the first question I had. Well, I've learned that the "MINIs on the Dragon" is many things to many people. For me, it's kinda like a concert. Sure if I want to listen to my favorite group I'll choose an acoustically designed room with a great stereo system. But if that group comes to concert, I'm there, not because of the quality of the music, but for the atmosphere and camaraderie. The event itself now takes on more meaning than the music.

Yes, the MOTD started out as an get together to drive 11-mile stretch of road with 318 curves aka the Dragon. That in itself is more than enough reason to travel to the breath taking mountains of North Carolina. But in the first weekend of May each year, it has evolved into much more than that. Just like our beloved MINI's have evolved into more than just a car to us. So you take the 11-mile stretch of road, then you toss in the mountains, country roads and waterfalls. Now add 600 to 1000 fellow MINIacs and it takes on a whole new meaning. Wake up each morning and see hundreds of Mini's each day, attend dinners and events, go on group drives, or just gather and drool over each other's mods. Get a chance to put a face to a screen name, see some old friends and make some new ones.

What time do you need me there in the morning to direct traffic. 7?

I would think 7:15ish, we are arriving around 7. I will double check with the head guy when he is done taking test for the job he is applying to

That's kind of annoying. I'd rather go to Montgomery County because it's a lot closer, but I'll go to Alexandria because I'll know people there. It will also split the participation that is already pretty low. I hope more people come out tomorrow than have RSVPd.

Yeah Corey talked with David about it when he wrote bothering him for names of the people that RSVP'ed. I think MOCO is going to have a much better turn out. They actively promoted it. I am not sure we are going now due to my accident. Corey has to get under my car and see what is broken. One of my wheels is trying to be a stance queen.

  8. Our biggest issue is we have to have 2 rooms since all 3 of the girls will be with us. Unless Caylee gets into the summer program at USC. The hotel we stayed at last year is 170 a night per room and we are staying for 3 days. Plus a day/ night in Detroit or Ann Arbor for college tour if she is with us.

this year is going to be a tough year for anything
