Do I need to call Carlos to confirm his availability on Fri for us, or it's all set?

In a meantime, Ive checked couple of places around Rockville, the quotes were: ~$130 for some basic film that has no lifetime warranty against fading ~$160 for 'carbon' film - I think that's what Carlos is using ~$190 for a film that has lifetime warranty for like everything ~$400+ for ceramic :stupid:

I could go on Fri 26th, around lunch time.

Standard (carbon smthg, etc.) Dave quoted ceramic @ $299. Also, few places near Rockville quoted in $120-130 range, since it close to my work I'll check'em out today/tomorrow.

Well, I've called around, here's the breakdown: Dave - $229 TNT - ~$200 Carlos - $130.

I've read about Carlos/Solar Solutions, but it's a bit of drive from my place. Ane places in NoVA that fellow Mini owners would recommend?

My advice would be to shop out of state. Not sure if it's lack of competition or something in the air, but from my experience both NoVA dealers wanted unreasonable $$, not to mention all their crap about "you HAVE to buy today cause whatever".

Fellow DC Metro MINI owners, if you come across an ad selling a used key fob for 2nd gen MINI with comfort access (the fob has a regular battery instead of rechargeable one). please let me know. Most likely it's the one stolen from my wife last weekend ("courtesy" of Sequoia restaurant in Georgetown DC). I don't care for the cards/cash/phones taken along with it, but would like to have the key recovered rather than ordering a new one from a dealer (mucho $$$, to my understanding). Thank you!
