melissa99 Posted February 10, 2017 Report Posted February 10, 2017 Has anyone replaced a bulb on the rear side markers of a second gen? The light is just behind the back tire on the black plastic wheel arch, and there's a covering on the inside of the wheel well that blocks access. Every how-to I've seen online is for first gens, where the arch and wheel well cover are attached with Philips head screws. Mine look like rivets with a small circular hole in the middle. Definitely not Philips. Are these rivets the plastic type that will pop out with force or is there another trick to it? I don't feel the need to pay for half an hour of labor at the dealership just to replace a bulb to pass inspection...
melissa99 Posted February 10, 2017 Author Report Posted February 10, 2017 Answer found - they are expanding rivets. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=ZB33-USA-02-2012-R60-Mini-Cooper&diagId=51_8048
